Mo Wen continuously pondered over the "Ninth Level Golden Body Sutra," occasionally seeking advice from Old Lu, while also preparing to begin his cultivation of the Golden Body Realm. However, no matter how much he contemplated, he felt that something was off about this Kung Fu. Upon closer examination, he discovered that the annotations for the Kung Fu were incomplete, missing some crucial parts.
"Is there a problem with this Kung Fu?" Old Lu asked, looking at Mo Wen who had come to express his doubts.
"Not exactly. It's just that the annotations for this Kung Fu seem somewhat lacking, so I thought I’d come and ask you, Old Lu."
"Annotations are merely insights left by the creator of this Kung Fu or by those who have practiced it before. They don't hold much reference value. Besides, if someone failed in their cultivation and the annotation stated that practicing this Kung Fu would leave you crippled, would you still dare to cultivate it?"
"I understand that cultivating the Ninth Level Golden Body carries risks. You’ve mentioned this before, Old Lu. I know that risk and opportunity coexist."
"Exactly! So what other questions do you have? The path of cultivation is inherently against the heavens. If you're afraid of this and that, then why bother cultivating at all? If you think there's a problem with the 'Ninth Level Golden Body Sutra,' then don't practice it. But this is the only Kung Fu I have on hand. Just wait a moment; I'll see if I have any Eighth Level Golden Body Kung Fu." With that, Old Lu began rummaging through his storage bag.
"Hehe, Old Lu, there's no need to look for it. I’ll just practice the 'Ninth Level Golden Body Sutra,'" Mo Wen said, scratching his head with an embarrassed smile.
"No way! The cultivation of the Ninth Level Golden Body is extremely risky. I think it's safer for you to cultivate an Eighth Level Golden Body," Old Lu continued searching.
"Really, there's no need to look for it, Old Lu. I'm set on practicing this one; I think it's quite good."
"Are you sure?" Old Lu looked up at Mo Wen with a doubtful expression.
"Absolutely! I don’t have anything else to do right now; I’ll go prepare for my cultivation." Mo Wen hurriedly left, and as he watched him flee, Old Lu stroked his beard with a smirk of triumph on his face.
...
After escaping from the small wooden cabin, Mo Wen arrived at Gourd Mouth with Xiao Hei and sat cross-legged on a large rock, reflecting on his earlier conversation with Old Lu. It seemed there was no issue; he could now confirm that the "Ninth Level Golden Body Sutra" was sound. As for any potential problems during cultivation, he would address them as they arose—he would understand what he didn’t know in due time. He felt that this time Old Lu was different; previously, he always insisted that Mo Wen fully comprehend the Kung Fu and resolve all doubts before beginning cultivation. Yet now, even though there were still areas he didn’t fully grasp, Old Lu hadn’t provided answers. However, based on his understanding of the "Ninth Level Golden Body Sutra," he believed he was ready to cultivate. Perhaps he had indeed been intimidated by what Old Lu had said before. Shaking off these thoughts, he settled into a meditative state.
After two days of adjustment and clearing away all distractions, feeling prepared, he began to cultivate the "Ninth Level Golden Body Sutra." He activated the Kung Fu to guide the Yin Yang Principle within him to start refining his body. The Yin Yang Principle began to circulate throughout his body under the guidance of the Kung Fu. During this process of circulation, interactions between Yin and Yang caused changes to occur; the originally harmonious Law of Power was disrupted as these interactions generated Thunderbolt Power and Fire Power within him, making him feel as though he was being torn apart from the inside out. Just when he felt he could no longer endure it, the Wood Law emerged within him to repair his damaged organs.
