"I, Yun Gang's girlfriend, playing the second female lead? Heh, Director Zhang, are you looking down on me or our Yun Family?" Yun Gang said coldly, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"Uh..." Director Zhang was at a loss for words.
Seeing Yun Gang approach, Jiang Luyi couldn't help but shake her head slightly. She already knew how this would end; Yun Gang would either be dead or severely injured. Mr. Jiang was not someone he could provoke.
"Yun Gang, that kid is the Investor. He said he wouldn't even let me play the second female lead and ordered Jiang Luyi to hit me. You need to take revenge for me; I want them to kneel before me and apologize," Xiao Xin glared at Jiang Chen, speaking fiercely.
"No problem." Yun Gang smiled dismissively, casually glancing at Jiang Chen before treating him like air, not taking him seriously at all. Instead, he focused his gaze on Jiang Luyi with interest. After all, she was much more beautiful than Xiao Xin.
"Heh, I didn't expect Miss Jiang to be so stunning," Yun Gang remarked with a grin.
"Young Master Yun, I advise you to leave quickly; otherwise, it will be too late for regrets," Jiang Luyi said coolly.
"You want me to leave? I'm afraid you don't have that ability, Miss Jiang. Don't forget that your Jiang Family used to follow my grandfather. Without him, your family would have been eliminated in Shanghai long ago. Could you be thriving as you are now? One must learn to be grateful. Our Yun Family can protect your Jiang Family or make you fall into despair and even disappear," Yun Gang said arrogantly.
"You mentioned things from the past. Besides, my grandfather and your Yun Family only had a cooperative relationship back then. Now, if your Yun Family wants to make us disappear, I’m afraid you lack the capability," Jiang Luyi replied with a smile. After all, she had Jiang Chen backing her up.
Yun Gang had no idea what kind of existence he was provoking; even if he were told, he likely wouldn't believe it.
"Jiang Luyi, remember this: a dog is always a dog and should never offend its master. Don't take yourselves too seriously, Jiang Family," Yun Gang said with a sinister smile.
"It's your Yun Family that takes itself too seriously. There are some people in this world that you cannot afford to offend," Jiang Luyi replied calmly.
"You’re right; there are some people we cannot offend. But unfortunately for you, you're not among them. You small characters are nothing but trash in our eyes, no matter how rich you are. I'll give you one last chance: apologize to my girlfriend or don't blame me for being rude," Yun Gang's tone grew increasingly harsh.
Jiang Luyi glanced at Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen sat in his seat with an indifferent expression, casually playing with a pen in his hand.
As Jiang Luyi looked at him, everyone turned their attention to Jiang Chen. At first glance, he appeared no different from an ordinary young man—lacking any air of high society—dressed casually and displaying a laid-back attitude. Yet it was precisely this casual demeanor that set him apart from ordinary people.
"Heh, is it because you didn't let Xiao Xin play the female lead?" Seeing Jiang Chen's indifferent attitude made Yun Gang's eyes sharpen as he coldly asked.
Jiang Chen couldn't be bothered to respond.
"I'm talking to you! Are you deaf?" Yun Gang shouted angrily when he realized Jiang Chen was ignoring him.
Only then did Jiang Chen lift his head and look at Yun Gang calmly. He had no idea what the Yun Family was about and wasn't interested in knowing either. With so many onlookers around, he didn't want to resort to violence; otherwise, even if Yun Gang had ten lives, it wouldn't be enough for him to kill.
