Chen Jie Li trembled as he returned to the arena, his face pale, and he looked at Jiang Chen as if he had seen a ghost.
“Uncle Wu, you must avenge my grandfather! He was injured because of you; it’s a slap in your face! My grandfather and you are sworn brothers,” Chen Ran said, filled with righteous indignation as he glanced at Jiang Chen, his reason slipping away.
Wu Shiding felt somewhat awkward and remained silent.
“Enough!” Chen Jie Li weakly scolded. He could no longer underestimate Jiang Chen; the man was truly formidable and concealed his strength well.
“Grandfather, Uncle Wu is a Divine Realm expert! Are we really afraid of this kid?” Chen Ran was becoming frantic. Jiang Chen's power made him feel insignificant, and he desperately wanted to leverage Wu Shiding’s strength against Jiang Chen.
Wu Shiding nearly slapped Chen Ran across the face. If Jiang Chen was indeed the expert that Li Fushi spoke of, then his status as a Divine Realm expert would be utterly insignificant.
“Let’s not waste time with idle talk. Let’s begin the Martial Arts Arena Tournament,” Wu Shiding suggested, changing the subject.
“Agreed. Let’s start the Martial Arts Arena Tournament,” Chen Jie Li nodded and gave the order.
Everyone took their seats to watch the Martial Arts Arena Tournament. Jiang Chen sat nearby, but at this moment, no one had much enthusiasm for the tournament; after all, what had just transpired was far more exciting. Curiosity about Jiang Chen grew among the crowd.
Half an hour later, Li Fushi hurried in.
Upon seeing Jiang Chen, Li Fushi was instantly excited. He hadn’t expected to find Jiang Chen here; what a coincidence! It saved him the trouble of searching for him.
“Mr. Jiang, I am Li Fushi, and I came specifically to find you,” Li Fushi quickly stated upon meeting him.
“Elder Li, please have a seat. How did you know about me?” Jiang Chen smiled.
“I attended last year’s Songnan Martial Arts Tournament but did not make an appearance,” Li Fushi replied as he took a seat.
Seeing that Jiang Chen was indeed the expert Li Fushi had been searching for, Wu Shiding secretly felt relieved that he hadn’t confronted Jiang Chen earlier. As he observed Li Fushi and Jiang Chen chatting, he felt it inappropriate to interrupt and waited patiently.
Li Fushi's response did not surprise Jiang Chen. After sitting down, while watching the martial artists compete in the arena, he asked, “Elder Li, what brings you here to seek me?”
“I have a request for Mr. Jiang regarding something important. Have you heard of the Sword Immortal Ruins?” Li Fushi glanced around before speaking in a serious tone.
“Sword Immortal Ruins? I haven’t heard of it. I’m not as knowledgeable about these legendary hidden treasures as you are, Elder Li,” Jiang Chen replied with a smile, though he wasn’t particularly interested. At this point, he had little curiosity about any ruins on Earth.
“Ah, Mr. Jiang is joking! By the way, I’ve heard that you are very interested in the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm and even went to Yulu City to find the Shyr family. Has there been any progress?” Li Fushi probed cautiously.
“The progress is decent; now let’s talk about the Sword Immortal Ruins,” Jiang Chen said with a faint smile.
Seeing that Jiang Chen was unwilling to discuss the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm further, Li Fushi shifted his focus to the Sword Immortal Ruins.
The Sword Immortal Ruins were said to have been left behind by a sword immortal two thousand years ago. Inside the ruins were not only the Sword Immortal Tomb but also manuals and swords left by the immortal himself—an enticing prospect for Hidden Sects and families alike.
Now that the Sword Immortal Ruins had been discovered, although they had yet to be excavated, various Hidden Sects and families were already eyeing it with great interest and were eager to act.
