"My abilities are not something you need to experience firsthand. You should ask Li Fushi; he will provide you with the answer," Jiang Chen said calmly. Since Li Fushi was looking for him, he must already know about his cultivation level.
Upon hearing Jiang Chen's words, Wu Shiding, who had been gathering his momentum, suddenly faltered.
"What do you mean? Do you know Elder Li?" Wu Shiding asked in surprise.
"Weren't you just saying that Li Fushi was coming? Let him come here to see me. He should know who I am," Jiang Chen replied. He did not claim to know Li Fushi personally; after all, many people recognized him at the Songnan Martial Arts Tournament, but he could not possibly know them all.
Seeing Jiang Chen's demeanor, Wu Shiding hesitated. He thought Jiang Chen was putting on an act, but it didn't seem like it.
"Elder Li is not someone you can just meet whenever you want. Who exactly are you?" Wu Shiding pressed again.
"I am probably the person Li Fushi is looking for," Jiang Chen stated.
There was no need for Jiang Chen to take action when a simple conversation could resolve the matter.
Wu Shiding was taken aback and looked at Jiang Chen again, disbelief written all over his face. Was Jiang Chen really the esteemed senior that Li Fushi sought?
Though Wu Shiding remained skeptical, this was a serious matter, and he hesitated over whether to confirm with Li Fushi.
"Shiding, don't listen to this brat's nonsense. He's just stalling for time. With his appearance, how could he possibly be the expert Elder Li mentioned? Have you ever seen an expert who looks like him?" Chen Jie Li interjected sternly.
Wu Shiding stared at Jiang Chen, who remained calm and collected, exuding an air of nonchalance. Their eyes met for a few seconds, and Wu Shiding grew increasingly suspicious. If Jiang Chen was pretending, then his mental fortitude was astonishing.
"Shiding, there's no need for you to deal with this kid; I can handle it," Chen Jie Li said as he saw Wu Shiding hesitating.
Wu Shiding glanced at Chen Jie Li but said nothing; he neither nodded nor stopped him, tacitly agreeing.
Chen Jie Li had long harbored dissatisfaction towards Jiang Chen and Lin Yin as a master-student pair. Now seeing Jiang Chen feigning calmness and nearly intimidating Wu Shiding, he felt compelled to teach Jiang Chen a lesson.
Without further ado, Chen Jie Li charged at Jiang Chen with determination. As a Master of Transformation, he was not to be underestimated; he shattered the ground beneath him and leaped into the air like a fierce tiger, exuding an overwhelming aura.
However, Jiang Chen didn't even glance at him. With a casual wave of his hand, an invisible force surged forth. In that instant, Chen Jie Li felt dizzy and unsteady before being sent flying by the force, crashing into the wall at the edge of the Martial Arts Hall over a hundred meters away.
"Grandpa!" Chen Ran exclaimed in alarm as she rushed over to check on him.
The onlookers were stunned into silence, their expressions frozen in disbelief.
Chen Jie Li was a genuine Master of Transformation; how could he be so easily defeated? With just a casual wave from Jiang Chen, he was sent flying—this was simply unbelievable.
At this point, Wu Shiding no longer had any doubts. He thought to himself that Chen Jie Li had truly been a good brother by testing Jiang Chen's strength on his behalf.
Although he still had questions about Jiang Chen, those doubts would soon be resolved when Li Fushi arrived.
"I'll send someone to fetch Elder Li right away," Wu Shiding said before instructing Mu Deng to go to the hotel and bring Li Fushi over.
At his age, although he was a Master of Transformation, that fall nearly cost Chen Jie Li half of his life. It was only thanks to Wu Shiding personally retrieving the Shen Xue Men elixir that Chen Jie Li was able to survive.
