"Prepare for battle!" Lin Yuan said in a deep voice, activating Lingxi Youlong as he braced for the impending fierce fight. 0

The Azure Dragon Illusion circled around Lin Yuan, emanating an overwhelming pressure. The Indigenous Warriors who rushed into the cave were clearly intimidated, their steps slowing involuntarily as they cautiously surveyed Lin Yuan and his team. 0

"Don't act rashly," Lin Yuan whispered to his teammates. "We can't be sure of their strength." 0

Su Jiu'er nodded, her Ancient Compass already spinning quietly in her hand. Her gaze was sharp as a blade, scanning each of the Indigenous Warriors. Zhou Haoran had drawn out the silver needles he always carried, ready to strike at any moment. 0

A burly, tattooed Indigenous man stepped forward, his eyes glinting with an eerie green light in the dim cave. He shouted a few words in a strange language that sounded like some sort of command. 0

"They want us to hand over something," Su Jiu'er frowned and said. "It seems to be some kind of energy source." 0

Lin Yuan narrowed his eyes. "They might have sensed the energy fluctuations we released while cultivating Lingxi Youlong." 0

The tattooed Indigenous man seemed to lose patience; he suddenly raised his spear and hurled it at Lin Yuan. The spear cut through the air, leaving a blinding red trail and moving with astonishing speed. 0

Lin Yuan's expression sharpened as the Time Manipulator activated automatically, causing time around him to slow down. He easily dodged the spear and waved his right hand, sending forth an Azure Dragon Illusion that charged straight at the Indigenous Leader. 0

"Watch out!" Su Jiu'er suddenly shouted. "He has some kind of defensive ability!" 0

Indeed, just as the Azure Dragon Illusion was about to strike the Indigenous Leader, a strange Green Shield appeared, completely blocking the attack. 0

"Interesting," Lin Yuan raised an eyebrow. "It seems these Indigenous people have their own cultivation system." 0

Seeing his attack easily evaded and countered with such power, the Indigenous Leader's eyes flashed with surprise. He shouted loudly, and the other Indigenous Warriors immediately charged forward. 0

"Split up and respond!" Lin Yuan commanded. "Zhou Haoran, focus on defense; Su Jiu'er, look for their weaknesses; everyone else, follow me into the fray!" 0

The battle erupted instantly. Lin Yuan operated Lingxi Youlong as the Azure Dragon Illusion swirled around him, each attack carrying incredible force. However, the combat style of the Indigenous Warriors was exceedingly strange; they seemed capable of transferring energy among themselves—when one was injured, others would immediately replenish his strength. 0

"This is a kind of symbiotic relationship," Zhou Haoran said as he sealed an acupoint of an Indigenous Warrior with a silver needle, analyzing the situation. "They can share energy and damage." 0

Su Jiu'er’s compass spun rapidly in her hand, her eyes fixed on the Indigenous Leader. "He is the core; all the energy is distributed from him." 0

At that moment, an Indigenous Warrior suddenly attacked from the side, wielding a stone axe that emitted a strange black light. Zhou Haoran had no time to evade and could only raise his arm to block. 0

"Hao Ran!" Lin Yuan shouted, wanting to rush over to help, but he was entangled by three Indigenous Warriors. 0

The stone axe struck Zhou Haoran's arm with a heavy thud, producing a dull sound. Zhou Haoran grunted, his face turning pale as his body swayed, nearly collapsing to the ground. 0

"That stone axe is poisoned!" Li Qiang exclaimed. He had just repelled an Indigenous Warrior and was preparing to assist Zhou Haoran. 0

A flicker of anger flashed in Lin Yuan's eyes. He took a deep breath, channeling the Lingxi Youlong Technique to its peak. A larger Azure Dragon Illusion burst forth from his body, swirling and roaring within the cave. 0

"Get away from me!" Lin Yuan bellowed as the Azure Dragon Illusion lunged at the Indigenous Warriors, sending them all flying. 0

Seizing the opportunity, Lin Yuan quickly reached Zhou Haoran's side. "How are you?" 0

Zhou Haoran forced a smile. "I’m fine; just feeling a bit numb. It must be some kind of neurotoxin." 0

He took out a silver needle and pierced it into his own arm while activating the Lingxi Youlong Technique in an attempt to dispel the toxin. However, the toxin seemed particularly stubborn, and Zhou Haoran's complexion worsened. 0

"Let me help!" Su Jiu'er hurried over, her palm summoning a Nine-Tailed Fox Phantom that gently covered Zhou Haoran's wound. The Nine-Tailed Fox Phantom radiated a soft glow, gradually improving Zhou Haoran's complexion. 0

"Thank you," Zhou Haoran sighed in relief. "This toxin is truly bizarre; even my silver needle can't completely dispel it." 0

Lin Yuan turned to face the Indigenous Warriors, his eyes glinting with cold intensity. "You hurt my friend; we need to settle this score." 0

The Indigenous Leader seemed to sense Lin Yuan's fury. He raised his staff and shouted something loudly. The remaining Indigenous Warriors immediately formed a defensive formation, protecting their leader in the center. 0

"They are preparing some kind of ritual," Su Jiu'er said cautiously, "it might be a collective attack." 0

Lin Yuan nodded. "Then we should strike first." 0

He activated Lingxi Youlong while simultaneously engaging the Time Manipulator. Time seemed to freeze around him as Lin Yuan moved like a phantom among the Indigenous Warriors, each strike landing precisely on a vital point. 0

However, as he approached the Indigenous Leader, the Green Shield reappeared, completely blocking his attack. 0

"This defense is really troublesome," Lin Yuan frowned. "Conventional attacks can't break through at all." 0

Suddenly, Su Jiu'er's compass began to spin violently, pointing to a weak spot in the Indigenous Leader's chest. "There! His defense has a weakness at the chest!" 0

Lin Yuan's eyes lit up. "Got it, I know what to do." 0

He activated Lingxi Youlong again, but this time he didn't attack directly. Instead, he let the Azure Dragon Illusion swirl within the cave, continuously gathering energy. The Indigenous Leader seemed to sense danger and hurriedly commanded his subordinates to launch an attack. 0

"Hold them off!" Lin Yuan shouted to his teammates. "Give me some time!" 0

Li Qiang and Zhang Li immediately stepped forward. Although they had just grasped the basics of Lingxi Youlong, their teamwork was seamless, successfully holding back several Indigenous Warriors. Zhou Haoran, despite being injured, still used his silver needles with precision, sealing the acupoints of two Indigenous Warriors. 0

Su Jiu'er maneuvered the Nine-Tailed Fox Phantom, weaving through the Indigenous Warriors and disrupting their formation. Her movements were graceful yet lethal, each strike perfectly timed. 0

Lin Yuan felt that his Lingqi had reached its limit; the Azure Dragon Illusion had also become more solid, almost tangible. He took a deep breath, formed hand seals, and then the Azure Dragon Illusion dove down fiercely toward the Indigenous Leader's chest. 0

The Indigenous Leader seemed to realize the impending danger and quickly reinforced his defense; the Green Shield thickened even more. However, just as the Azure Dragon Illusion was about to make contact with the shield, it split into dozens of smaller azure dragons that attacked from various angles. 0

Most of the smaller dragons were blocked by the shield, but one managed to penetrate through the weak spot in the chest and struck directly at the Indigenous Leader. 0

The Indigenous Leader let out a painful howl as the Green Shield shattered instantly. He staggered back a few steps, staring incredulously at his chest where a burn the size of a fist had appeared. 0

"Submit," Lin Yuan said coldly, "or the next strike will be more than just a burn." 0

A flicker of struggle crossed the Indigenous Leader's eyes. Finally, he slowly lowered his staff and spoke in halting Mandarin, "You... are strong... we... negotiate." 0

Lin Yuan was somewhat surprised. "You can speak our language?" 0

The Indigenous Leader nodded. "Learned... your world... language. We... are not enemies... just... protecting our home." 0

Su Jiu'er stepped forward, the compass in her hand spinning gently. "He speaks the truth, at least on this point." 0

Lin Yuan relaxed his guard slightly but remained cautious. "Then why did you attack us?" 0

The Indigenous Leader pointed deeper into the cave. "Sacred ground... cannot be violated... you... intruded... must... be punished." 0

"We didn't know this was your sacred ground," Lin Yuan explained. "We were only tracking someone named Han Lingyun." 0

At the mention of Han Lingyun's name, a strange light flickered in the Indigenous Leader's eyes. "Black-haired... woman? Very strong... very dangerous..." 0

Lin Yuan nodded. "That's right, it's her. Have you seen her?" 0

The Indigenous Leader hesitated, weighing his options. "Seen her... she... harmed us... stole... sacred object..." 0

"What did she steal?" Su Jiu'er pressed. 0

"The Source of Life..." the Indigenous Leader said painfully. "Without it... we... will die..." 0

Lin Yuan and Su Jiu'er exchanged a glance, shock evident in their eyes. Han Lingyun had stolen the sacred object that these indigenous people depended on for survival, which was far more serious than they had imagined. 0

"We can help you retrieve the sacred object," Lin Yuan proposed, "but you need to tell us where Han Lingyun went." 0

A glimmer of hope flickered in the Indigenous Leader's eyes, but it quickly turned to hesitation. "You... really... want to help us?" 0

"Of course," Lin Yuan said firmly. "We are also tracking Han Lingyun; she is our enemy as well." 0

The Indigenous Leader pondered for a moment before finally nodding. "Alright... I will tell you... but... you must... first help us... solve a problem." 0

"What problem?" Lin Yuan asked. 0

The Indigenous Leader pointed in another direction within the cave. "Lingqi... has mutated... it's very dangerous... we... cannot approach it... you... have the ability..." 0

Suddenly, Su Jiu'er’s compass began to spin violently, pointing toward the direction indicated by the Indigenous Leader. "What he said is true; there are indeed strong abnormal fluctuations of Lingqi in that direction." 0

Lin Yuan thought for a moment and turned to his teammates. "What do you think?" 0

Zhou Haoran rubbed his injured arm. "I think we can agree to their terms. If that Lingqi mutation area is really dangerous, it might also be related to Han Lingyun." 0

Li Qiang and Zhang Li nodded in agreement. 0

"Alright," Lin Yuan turned back to the Indigenous Leader. "We accept your terms. Take us to see that Lingqi mutation area, and then you must tell us the exact location of Han Lingyun." 0

The Indigenous Leader sighed with relief and nodded solemnly. "Deal... follow me..." 0

He turned and walked deeper into the cave, with Lin Yuan and his teammates following closely behind. Su Jiu'er walked up beside Lin Yuan and whispered, "Are you sure we can trust them?" 0

Lin Yuan smiled slightly. "Not sure, but we have no choice. Besides, I have a feeling that this Lingqi mutation area may hide greater secrets." 0

Su Jiu'er nodded, a hint of worry flashing in her eyes. "Then we need to be careful; these natives are not to be underestimated, especially their leader." 0

Lin Yuan glanced at the Indigenous Leader ahead and said solemnly, "Regardless, we must find Han Lingyun and uncover her true intentions. If she really stole these natives' Source of Life, then things may be far more complicated than we imagined." 0

As they ventured deeper into the cave, the temperature around them gradually rose, and the air became increasingly thick with Lingqi. Lin Yuan could sense that ahead lay a powerful energy fluctuation, one that was unlike any Lingqi he had ever encountered. 0

The Indigenous Leader halted, pointing to a strange opening ahead that emitted an eerie red glow. "It’s there... Lingqi... anomaly... beginning..." 0

Lin Yuan took a deep breath, feeling the chaotic and unstable energy waves emanating from that entrance, as if some force was spiraling out of control. 0

"Are you ready?" Lin Yuan turned to his companions, determination shining in his eyes. 0

Everyone nodded in agreement. Lin Yuan then faced the Indigenous Leader. "When we return, you better keep your promise." 0

The Indigenous Leader solemnly nodded, watching as Lin Yuan and his team approached the ominous red-lit entrance. 0

Just as they were about to step inside, an unprecedented surge of energy erupted from within the cave. The red light intensified, blindingly bright, as if it sought to consume everything in its path. 0

"Be careful!" Lin Yuan shouted instinctively, activating Lingxi Youlong to form a protective barrier. 0

However, the energy was too powerful; the barrier held for only a moment before being shattered. Lin Yuan felt the world spin around him as his consciousness began to fade. 0

In his final moments of awareness, he seemed to see a familiar figure standing at the center of the red light. The person turned their head, revealing a face he would never forget—Han Lingyun. 0
