Soul Attack is difficult to defend against, and this is one of the main reasons why Chimeras are so challenging to deal with. Another reason is that many Chimeras are elusive, making the search techniques favored by Warrior Monks largely ineffective against them, unless the Warrior Monk's cultivation surpasses that of the Chimera itself. Of course, for the Chimeras documented in the compendium, the book provides detailed descriptions of their attack methods and inherent weaknesses, along with suggestions on how to counter them. 0

Mo Wen flipped through the Chimera Compendium, taking notes on the descriptions within. However, as he continued his review, he encountered two issues: first, the Red Tree he had previously seen was not included in the book; second, some descriptions of certain Chimeras were vague, and their ratings were marked as "unable to be classified." This prompted Mo Wen to consult Old Lu. 0

"The Red Tree you mentioned is not included in the compendium because it belongs to the Non-Grade Chimeras. As for those Chimeras that cannot be classified, there are two possibilities: one is that they are too powerful for anyone to kill; the other is that they can kill any opponent but do not attack proactively. They only strike under specific conditions, such as when someone attacks them," Old Lu explained after taking a sip of his drink. "As for those Chimeras that are too powerful to be killed, I’m sure you can imagine how formidable they are. The ones that can kill any level of opponent are particularly special. For instance, there is a type called the Corpse Collector Demon. This Chimera only appears when a person is about to die; no one has ever been able to kill it, not even the strongest among us. However, it does not attack unless provoked; if it is attacked, it will retaliate and kill the attacker. After someone dies, it will take their body away. Not everyone who is about to die will encounter it; it seems to be interested only in certain individuals. These individuals meet the Corpse Collector Demon regardless of where they are, even if protected by powerful Symbol Arrays. Some also refer to it as a Cursed Spirit." Listening to Old Lu's account sent chills down Mo Wen's spine—encountering a Corpse Collector Demon would surely mean death for that person. 0

"As for the Red Tree you mentioned, it falls under the category of Non-Grade Chimeras. Non-Grade Chimeras pose little threat or are easy to deal with. While these Chimeras do not pose any danger in the wild, if they appear in populated areas, they can cause significant threats and casualties. Fortunately, most of these Non-Grade Chimeras tend to remain fixed in one location; people have yet to observe their movements or understand how they move," Old Lu concluded his explanation about Non-Grade Chimeras. 0

He then handed Mo Wen a pile of books regarding Non-Grade Chimeras. The reason for giving him a pile was that Old Lu no longer considered them a threat and found their information useless for himself, so he had no motivation to organize them into a single volume. These books were collected during his earlier years; after reading them, he would toss them into his Storage Device—some he hadn't even opened. By then, he had already surpassed the realm where such information was necessary; he either avoided them or dealt with them decisively. Additionally, there were simply too many Non-Grade Chimeras; each faction had accumulated a large amount of data on them. Compiling this information into a single volume would take considerable time, especially since such data was readily available outside. 0
