"This is interesting..."
The cold smile at the corner of Park Bucheng's mouth appeared particularly striking under the dim light, like a strange glimmer of coldness in the night. He slowly raised his hands, his movements unhurried, as if teasing the fully armed Guards in front of him.
"Don't move! One more step and I'll blow you away!" The leading Guard had his gun trained firmly on Park Bucheng, his voice trembling slightly. They might have encountered many tough characters before, but this man’s calm demeanor sent an inexplicable chill down their spines, as if they were being targeted by a venomous snake, their hairs standing on end.
Li Meili was so nervous that sweat beaded on her forehead. She instinctively tightened her grip on the dagger hidden in her sleeve, ready to fight for her life at any moment. However, Park Bucheng gently shook his head, signaling her not to act rashly. The smile on his lips deepened, as if everything was under his control.
"Brothers, with such a grand setup, are you sure you've got the right target?" Park Bucheng squinted his eyes and spoke in a teasing tone. "We're just passing by to get some soy sauce. Is it really necessary to go to such lengths?" He spread his hands innocently.
"Less talk! Hands on your head and kneel!" The Guard clearly wasn't buying it, but the unease in his heart grew stronger. The man's composure made him feel like prey, while the other was the true hunter. His hand holding the gun trembled slightly from exertion.
"Kneel?" Park Bucheng raised an eyebrow. "Sorry, my knees are tough; I don't kneel." As soon as he finished speaking, he slipped and vanished from his spot like a ghost! His speed was so incredible that only an afterimage remained.
"Bang bang bang—" Gunfire erupted suddenly, flames flickering in the dim factory, but the bullets only struck air, kicking up clouds of dust. Park Bucheng executed Graceful Wave Steps with unbelievable speed, weaving through the crowd like smoke, making it impossible to track his movements. He appeared behind the Guards one moment and flashed to their flanks the next, playing with these fully armed Guards like a specter.
"What the hell is this?!" The Guards were thrown into chaos; they had never seen such a bizarre maneuver. Bullets flew wildly but couldn't even graze the hem of Park Bucheng's clothes. Just as they searched for a target in all directions, a gust of wind swept through. The leading Guard felt a jolt in his chest as if he had been hit by a speeding truck; he flew backward like a kite with its string cut, crashing heavily against the wall and falling unconscious with a dull thud.
"One word—scatter." Park Bucheng whispered, his voice like a devil's whisper from hell that sent chills down their spines. At the same time, he flipped his wrist and a small sharp throwing knife appeared in his palm, reflecting cold light in the dimness. He accurately threw the knife; several muffled groans followed as more Guards fell to the ground, writhing in pain.
Li Meili finally reacted; she quickly drew her dagger, its blade slicing through the air with a cold gleam. She and Park Bucheng moved in perfect harmony like ghosts amidst the chaos, taking down the remaining Guards one by one. Park Bucheng's Graceful Wave Steps combined seamlessly with Li Meili's dagger skills, resembling a dance of death that reaped lives effortlessly. The entire process lasted only a few dozen seconds before the battle ended. A heavy scent of blood filled the air, making one feel nauseous.
"Boss, your moves are way too insane!" Li Meili gasped for breath as she looked at the sprawled bodies around her and couldn't help but exclaim. Admiration sparkled in her eyes.
Park Bucheng brushed off the dust from his hands, dismissing the situation with a nonchalant tone. "It's just a trivial skill. Let's go; the real show is yet to come." A glimmer of anticipation flashed in his eyes, as if he had already foreseen the impending storm of bloodshed.
Meanwhile, outside the abandoned factory, a much larger storm was brewing. The night enveloped the land, with only the beam of the searchlight piercing through the darkness, illuminating the factory as if it were daylight.
A joint elite force formed by the prosecutor's office and the Taiji Consortium had completely surrounded the factory. Equipped with modern weaponry, their firepower was overwhelming and suffocating. Armored vehicles rumbled ominously, and soldiers clad in full gear exuded an aura of lethal intent. Inside the factory, the members of the Gangster organization appeared utterly disheveled. Although they were numerous, their rudimentary equipment made the disparity with their enemies glaringly obvious. They cowered behind crumbling walls, trembling like lambs awaiting slaughter.
"Damn it! These bastards want to wipe us out completely!" Li Zhenghao shouted angrily as he smashed a bottle, sending shards of glass flying. His face flushed with rage as he yelled, "Hold your ground! Anyone who dares to take a step back will be shot!" His voice trembled slightly from fear.
However, his words had little effect. The Gangster members wore expressions of terror; they were not fools and understood well what kind of elite force they were up against. This was not a fair battle but a one-sided massacre! The shadow of death loomed over them, making it hard for them to breathe.
At that moment, a familiar and reassuring voice broke through the tension. "Li Zhenghao, are you planning to let your brothers die for nothing?"
Everyone turned towards the sound and saw Park Bucheng walking into the Command Room with an air of calmness. He wore his signature sly smile, leaving others guessing at his true intentions. He appeared like a savior descending from above, bringing a glimmer of hope to the despairing Gangster members.
"What do you mean?" Li Zhenghao exclaimed, his eyes wide with anger as he glared at him. "In this situation, do you still want to play tricks?"
Park Bucheng ignored his question and walked straight to the map, pointing out several key locations with his finger. "The enemy's firepower is mainly concentrated in front, while there are almost no heavy weapons on the flanks. This is our opportunity."
"Opportunity? What kind of opportunity!" Li Zhenghao scoffed. "Do you think we can drive them back with our outdated guns and cannons?"
"Of course not," Park Bucheng shrugged. "But what if we add these?" He pulled out several small bombs from his pocket and placed them on the table. They were new explosives personally crafted by Zhao Xianzhe, boasting incredible power. The surface of the bombs gleamed with a metallic sheen, exuding an air of danger.
Li Zhenghao was momentarily taken aback, then a look of wild joy spread across his face. "You were prepared all along?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" Park Bucheng replied with a smirk. "I'm not like some people who just shout and make noise."
Li Zhenghao, rendered speechless by the retort, felt his face flush with embarrassment, but there was nothing he could do. He knew that he had to rely on Park Bucheng now. Pointing at the map, Park Bucheng began to lay out his plan, a glimmer of intelligence shining in his eyes as if everything was under his control...
