Under the night sky, the two sat by the fire pit, with Mo Wen expressing his inner confusion to Old Lu. 0

"The world has countless Laws. If you were to comprehend each one, it would indeed be impossible. Moreover, the interactions between Laws can give rise to new Laws. For instance, the Ice Law and Rain Law both originate from the Water Principle; similarly, the Sound Law is rooted in the Spatial Law." 0

"Is there a Law from which all other Laws evolve?" Mo Wen asked excitedly. If Laws can give rise to other Laws, then all the Laws in this world must stem from a primordial Law. If one could comprehend such a Law, wouldn’t that be incredibly efficient? 0

"The Dao gives birth to One, One gives birth to Two, Two gives birth to Three, and Three gives birth to all things. All things bear Yin and embrace Yang. You are still too far from this Realm. Normally, I shouldn’t share this with you, but since you’ve thought of it, I will tell you. How much you understand depends on your own ability; I will only say it once, so don’t interrupt. Laws arise from the Dao, and there are many interpretations regarding the origin of the Dao. Some say it originates from Chaos, while others claim that the Dao existed before Chaos. However, for us cultivators, we believe that the Dao is something to be realized. Whether it arises from Chaos or whether Chaos originates from the Dao is not important for you at this moment. Since Laws arise from the Dao, where there is a beginning of the Dao, there is a beginning of Laws; this beginning of Laws is called Origin Law. The Dao gives birth to Tai Chi, Tai Chi gives birth to Yin Yang, and Yin Yang gives birth to all things. All Laws in this world are born from Yin Yang. Tai Chi is elusive; as of now, no one has discovered its existence. Thus, Yin Yang can be regarded as Origin Law." Old Lu stopped speaking; this was already the limit of what he could condense down to. He could only explain to Mo Wen what Origin Law was in simple terms, knowing that Mo Wen was most concerned about what Origin Law truly was—this kid had grand ambitions. 0

"All things bear Yin and embrace Yang. So if I can find this Origin Law among many Laws and then comprehend it..." Indeed, this kid was only concerned with how to grasp this Origin Law. Old Lu had already anticipated his next question. 0

"Old Lu, how can I comprehend the Yin Yang Principle? It feels so abstract compared to the Water Principle or Fire Principle that have tangible forms." As Old Lu had expected, Mo Wen posed this anticipated question. 0

"Alright then, I will explain further. When it comes to Laws, people tend to choose those that can be perceived or have material forms for comprehension since they are easier to grasp. Laws continuously evolve into new Laws, and in order to better categorize these Laws by their origins, they are divided into various levels of Origin Law based on their fundamental sources. The most well-known among these is the Five Elements; their level lies beneath Yin Yang and represents the highest level of Origin Law that can also be found in material existence. The interactions of the Five Elements illustrate that solitary Yin does not generate life and solitary Yang does not endure." To help him understand the interactions of the Five Elements intuitively, Old Lu drew a Five Elements Diagram on the ground. 0

"What do you mean by solitary Yin does not generate life and solitary Yang does not endure?" 0

Hearing this question left Old Lu dumbfounded. He had thought he had explained everything clearly enough for Mo Wen but was surprised when he posed such profound questions that struck at the very essence of life’s highest mysteries right off the bat. 0
