In the open space stood a child, or rather, a shadow. Mo Wen dared not approach, merely watching from a distance, fearing it would be like his previous encounter with the ring. 0

The shadow appeared to be a little girl, about the same age as Mo Wen, squatting on the ground and drawing something with a stick. Suddenly, she noticed Mo Wen's presence. She dropped the stick and turned to look at him. 0

"Hee hee! Come play with me," she said. 0

"I don't want to play." 0

"You have to play. If you win, you can leave. Come on, it's really fun." 0

"What is this?" Mo Wen inched closer to examine the drawings on the ground. 0

"This is a house. We're going to play hopscotch. Whoever reaches the top square first wins." As she spoke, the little girl somehow produced a die. "We'll roll the die; odd numbers move forward, even numbers move back. The number shows how many squares to move." 0

"But what if I roll an even number first or end up moving back more than I can move forward?" 0

"Then you just wait until your odd rolls exceed your even rolls before you can move ahead. I'll go first!" With that, the little girl tossed the die. It landed on three, and she moved to the third square. 0

It was Mo Wen's turn now, but he had bad luck and rolled a two. He could only wait until he rolled a three to move forward... 0

"I won! I get to leave now," Mo Wen said, turning to the little girl. 0

"No! I haven't lost yet!" she shouted at him. 0

"No, you lost. A bet is a bet; I have to leave now. That's what we agreed on." 0

"You can't go! You have to stay and play with me!" The girl's face began to twist in anger and pain as she lunged toward him. Seeing this, he turned and ran... 0

The dream began to collapse, and Mo Wen woke up... Fortunately, this dream was not as illusory as the first one, but he felt a tinge of regret for not entering that world; he would never know what happened next. 0

Sitting on his bed, drenched in cold sweat and suffering from a splitting headache, he quickly focused his energy, worried that he might become an ordinary person without any power like in his dream. 0

That night, Mo Wen swallowed two Red Spirit Fruits and lay down again. Soon he fell into a dream once more. As he surveyed his surroundings, he realized he was still in that Black and White World. At that moment, he was running through the woods, his skin torn by thorns that oozed white blood. He stopped; the little girl was nowhere in sight—she probably wouldn’t chase him anymore. With yesterday's experience in mind, he decided to conserve his strength as much as possible since he didn’t know when he might be pursued again. 0

"Black and White Match, white against black..." Mo Wen heard a group of children singing ahead; it sounded like they were chanting some kind of rhyme. He knew game time had arrived; perhaps only by winning could he escape this world. Mo Wen walked toward the source of the singing... 0

As he sat cross-legged on his bed practicing his technique for healing, he felt an indescribable comfort in his head. After finishing his practice, he sensed that his spirit had grown significantly stronger and his awareness heightened. He could feel Old Lu bustling around by the fire pit cooking. Rising from his wooden hut, he indeed saw Old Lu fiddling with his food, tasting it with chopsticks while nodding and shaking his head intermittently. 0
