In the storage room of the hospital floor, we found the maintenance entrance marked on the blueprints. However, what puzzled us was that there was nothing on the wall in front of us, except for an old-fashioned thermometer hanging there.
Strange, I thought as I carefully examined the wall. According to the blueprints, the entrance should be located right here.
Suddenly, I noticed something unusual about the thermometer's scale: in addition to the regular temperature numbers, there were some tiny symbols. Through my special vision, these symbols became clear to me.

I reached out and turned the thermometer, aligning the red mercury column with these numbers. With each turn, faint mechanical sounds emanated from within the wall. After inputting the last number, the wall silently slid open.
Clever, Li Yang remarked. The thermometer serves as a code input device; even if someone discovers it, they would think it's just an ordinary medical instrument.
The passage was more spacious than we had imagined, but at the entrance was a strange device: two rows of metal rods arranged in a staggered pattern, resembling some sort of filter.
Detection gate, Honda Miho recognized this device as one used to screen for specific genetic material.
So what do we do now?
Before I could finish my sentence, a strong reaction suddenly surged within me from the virus program. Through my special vision, I saw that those metal rods were covered with tiny symbols that were resonating with the codes in my blood.
It’s scanning, I said; it’s not detecting genetic material but confirming the version number of the virus program.
A few seconds later, the metal gate opened automatically. But what was even more interesting was that during its opening motion, the way those metal rods contracted was exactly opposite to the trajectory of an elevator's operation.
Another reverse spiral, Zhou Jing noted; they’ve hidden this hint in every detail of the building.
As we moved forward through the passage, we discovered that there were ventilation openings spaced at regular intervals along the wall. The arrangement of these openings seemed systematic, as if marking something.
Let’s compare this with the elevator coordinates, I suggested; these ventilation openings’ positions...
Jiang Zhendong quickly marked them on the blueprint. However, when we connected these points together, the resulting trajectory mirrored that of the elevator path.
They are telling us something, I speculated; we need to unravel each puzzle in reverse order.
Just then, voices echoed from the end of the passage. Through those ventilation openings' reverberations, we could roughly determine where those doctors were: they had reached some spacious area and seemed to be preparing for some kind of ritual.
Interesting, I listened closely to their conversation; they mentioned a step for reverse activation.
They said that if I focus, the ordinary activation method would release a virus program, but reverse activation could allow the program to self-destruct. Everyone exchanged glances. This information was crucial: if we could find a way to reverse the activation, perhaps we could stop the spread of the virus program.
But the problem was, how could we crack this final puzzle without alerting them? Just then, I noticed a line of very discreet text at the top of the passage, seemingly written in ultraviolet ink:
"The correct solution is Yang, the reverse solution is Yin; with Yin and Yang in opposition, they return to silence."
