After finishing their meal, the two slowly stood up, preparing to face the next battle.
Lin Zhao Cheng felt the food in his stomach gradually digesting, but these chunks of meat were not just filling; he could distinctly sense a strange energy surging within him—like the flesh was seeping into his body, slowly becoming a part of him.
His blood seemed to boil hotter, his muscles filled with strength, and even his bones subtly trembled with excitement.
He looked down at his hands, clenched them tightly into fists, and heard the joints crack. An indescribable surge of violent killing intent roiled in his chest!
—All he wanted now was to carve a bloody path!
"Damn, this feeling... seems a bit off..."
Lin Zhao Cheng murmured under his breath, but he had little time to ponder this strange sensation as William had already begun crafting weapons nearby.
"Clack! Clack! Clack!"
William squatted on the ground, picking up several long bones and using a small knife to carefully scrape away impurities, sharpening the tips to an incredible point.
"Sometimes ranged weapons are more useful than melee ones," William said casually as he worked, his hands moving with practiced skill, clearly having done this countless times before.
"If you throw these little spears, they can pierce through ordinary monsters directly. Plus, these bones are lightweight, much better than stones."
With a swift motion, he drove one of the sharpened Bone Spears into the ground. The sharp tip easily penetrated the soft, bloody earth without even a quiver, demonstrating its sharpness and piercing power.
"Here, take this and try it out."
William tossed a few spears to Lin Zhao Cheng. As he caught them, he found these bone-made spears surprisingly comfortable to handle. They were light in weight; although made of bone, they were unexpectedly sturdy—definitely enough to handle the upcoming battle!
"Not bad at all; this suits me well."
Lin Zhao Cheng rotated his wrist, spinning the spear in his hand to feel its balance. A cold smile crept onto his lips.
"Now, we just need to find a target to test its lethality..."
William grinned, revealing a mouthful of yellowed teeth, as he drove the last Spear into the ground, clapped his hands, and stood up.
"Don't worry, you'll have your chance to show off soon."
"Now, it's time to continue our escape plan."
"Let's go, we need to keep moving with our escape plan."
Lin Zhao Cheng and William set off, stepping into the unknown ahead.
The surroundings remained the same eerie landscape of flesh and blood; the ground still writhed as if whispering some malevolent incantation, and the air was thick with the stench of decay. Yet at this moment, both of them felt better than ever—having feasted well, their blood boiling, new weapons in hand, and an unfamiliar power surging within them!
They moved like thirsty hunting dogs, their strides steady and sharp, each step filled with murderous intent!
—Before long, the monsters began to appear.
"They're here!"
"Just kill them!"
"Hahaha, I've been waiting for this for a long time!"
The first monster had just emerged from the bloody ground, barely able to let out a roar before a sharp bone Spear suddenly pierced its skull, pinning it firmly to the earth!
"Thud—!!"
As Lin Zhao Cheng threw his Spear, he charged toward another monster. With a fierce sweep of his lance, he cleaved two monsters in half, their innards and blood spilling like a waterfall!
William was like a beast on the battlefield, swinging his axe with every blow toppling a monster. Blood splattered across him in gruesome streaks!
"Hahahaha!! Bring it on!!!"
"Hahaha! These rotten creatures are nothing to worry about!"
The two of them fought with increasing ferocity, each strike filled with unmatched sharpness and destructive power. The bone spear pierced through a monster's eye socket, the lance impaled its chest, and the axe cleaved through skulls, scattering entrails and limbs everywhere!
Though the monsters roared and surged forth, they were utterly incapable of stopping these two madmen!
This was no longer a struggle for survival... it was a massacre!
The terrifying creatures of Blood Flesh Hell appeared so fragile under the blades of these two.
"Hah... hah... hah... damn! These things are nothing!"
Lin Zhao Cheng thrust his spear through a monster's head, twisted it, and shattered its skull, splattering black blood across his face. He didn't even wipe it off; instead, he excitedly licked the corner of his mouth.
William looked at him with a wild grin. "You’re quite the killer! Doesn’t this feel exhilarating?!"
Lin Zhao Cheng chuckled softly, gripping his lance tightly, bloodlust gleaming in his eyes. "Damn it, to say it doesn’t feel good would be a lie."
The two laughed maniacally as they forged ahead, cutting through the chaos as if it were an uninhabited realm!
The blood pooling beneath their feet grew deeper, and corpses piled up like mountains along their path.
It seemed that escaping this Blood Flesh Hell... was not as difficult as they had imagined.
Lin Zhao Cheng gasped for breath, his lance dripping with dark red blood. He stepped over corpses and the slick, bloody ground but paid no mind to his condition; only one thought occupied his mind—keep killing! Carve out a path to survival!
He didn't even realize that his body, which had never been particularly strong, was now brimming with power. Each swing carried unimaginable destructive force; wherever the lance struck, monsters fell like paper.
Even more bizarrely—his back pain had vanished.
He had spent his entire life tormented by that damned back pain; sitting too long at work would leave him in agony, and even a massage chair couldn’t truly cure his problem... but now, after crazily hacking away for so long—twisting, rolling, sprinting—he felt no discomfort whatsoever?!
Yet at that moment, he had no mind to ponder such matters.
He was completely immersed in the slaughter!
Gripping his spear tightly, he roared as he pierced through the chest of another monster, then kicked it away, the spear slicing through the air and sending another creature's head flying!
"Hahaha!!!"
William laughed maniacally beside him, swinging his axe to brutally chop flesh and bone into pieces, blood splattering across their faces, but they paid no mind!
Kill! Kill! Kill!
They carved a bloody path through the endless horde of monsters, finally breaking free and arriving at a massive chamber!
"Boom—!"
The space ahead was larger than anything they had seen before, resembling a temple wrapped in flesh and blood. Columns that looked like skeletal structures extended from all directions, while above them was a writhing mass of dark membranous tissue, like the internal organs of some colossal creature!
Thick mist filled the area, and it felt as if something was vibrating in the air. Deep, resonant sounds echoed from within, causing a heaviness in their chests, like some eerie whisper murmuring incomprehensible words.
"Damn... this place feels wrong."
Lin Zhao Cheng tightened his grip on the spear, scanning the surroundings with caution. He could sense the oppressive atmosphere of this space; it felt less like an exit and more like the throat of some gigantic beast, waiting to devour everything—a true entrance!
William licked his lips, squinting his eyes as he whispered, "We've arrived."
"This is... the place that devours everything."
"Boom—!!"
A deafening roar erupted from deep within the path they had come from, as if some long-slumbering giant was slowly awakening, releasing deep and resonant breaths.
"Whoosh—... Hiss... Whoosh—... Hiss..."
With each pulse of air, the entire chamber trembled slightly. The fleshy tissue on the walls seemed to sense a heartbeat of life, beginning to contract and writhe gently, making a "puffing" sound.
Lin Zhao Cheng furrowed his brows tightly, gripping his spear as his gaze slowly moved upward—then he saw the most bizarre part of the Chamber.
Hanging above were several twisted structures resembling Pharyngeal Arches, akin to enormous human anatomy, yet completely foreign to any known creature.
Between these Pharyngeal Arches hung massive, meatball-like masses of tissue. They resembled cysts, with a semi-transparent surface beneath which dark shadows writhed, indistinguishable as flowing blood or some unhatched monstrosity.
The meatballs trembled in rhythm with a low humming sound, swaying like pendulums, producing an eerie creaking noise as they moved slowly, "creak... creak..."
"What the hell is this place..." Lin Zhao Cheng couldn't help but mutter under his breath. Just as he was about to take a step back, he felt a warm, thick liquid drip onto the back of his hand with a "plop."
He stiffly looked up and discovered that the meatballs above were continuously dripping a viscous slime. The liquid was a dark yellow and black-red mixture, resembling rotten blood or undigested gastric fluid, exuding an indescribable stench.
"Hiss—damn... this is truly hell..."
William also frowned, raising his hand to wipe off the slime from his shoulder, his expression turning unusually grave.
"We've reached the deepest point... this is where everything is devoured."
Lin Zhao Cheng took a deep breath, staring into the bottomless darkness ahead. In that vague moment, it seemed as if some larger and more terrifying entity lay dormant here, waiting for their arrival...
