Jiang Shiyu thought she was just being stubborn, and he couldn't help but let out a laugh filled with anger. "Believe it or not, I’ll make sure he regrets it tomorrow."
Yun Li watched his furious expression for a few seconds before bursting into laughter herself.
Jiang Shiyu felt a pang in his chest from the anger. "You don’t believe me? Just wait until tomorrow and see how I take him down. I’ll lock you up again and see how you act then."
Yun Li only found this more amusing. With her shoulder strap hanging down, exposing a large expanse of skin to the air, Jiang Shiyu narrowed his eyes and stepped forward to pinch her chin, kissing her fiercely.
Afterward, he wrapped her up in the blanket. "If you keep teasing me, I might just take you right now."
Yun Li didn’t shy away; instead, she lifted the blanket and draped her pale arm around his neck. "Do you want to see my chat history with him?"
Jiang Shiyu scoffed, clearly annoyed. "I wouldn’t mind sending him on his way right now." He tried to shake off Yun Li's hand.
Yun Li knew he wasn’t joking and quickly stopped him, tossing his phone away in the process.
She jumped off the bed to retrieve her own phone. "Here! You can look for yourself."
Jiang Shiyu stared at the phone for a few seconds without responding. Yun Li was truly exasperated with him as she opened the chat with Fu Jing and pointed the screen at him. "See? There’s nothing here. The last time we chatted was half a month ago."
Jiang Shiyu looked at the brief conversation, and his anger dissipated instantly. Their exchange was polite and distant—nothing suggestive from Shu Ran at all.
Realizing he had been tricked, Jiang Shiyu sneered. "Then let Cheng Zhou come back. Are you satisfied now? Did you really think I was that foolish?"
"How could I send those kinds of pictures to a man? Even back when it was just us, if you had asked for something like that, I wouldn’t have sent it. I still have some common sense."
Jiang Shiyu gazed at her, his expression suddenly turning playful as he pulled her down onto the bed.
"I don’t need any pictures; you’re right here in front of me." His voice grew hoarse with desire. "But don’t tease me."
He lifted her thigh, exploring upward. The fabric felt smooth against his skin, and he could clearly sense her warmth.
Yun Li’s face flushed red, and her breathing became heavier.
She reached out to unbutton his vest; he wore a deep blue waistcoat over a white shirt today. The satin felt comfortable to touch—this outfit was both restrained and enticing.
Her voice was sweet as she said, "Jiang Shiyu, you're too jealous. We're just lovers, yet you always forget that."
Jiang Shiyu's hand caressed her smooth skin, his voice hoarse. "That doesn't need to be remembered. What you need to remember is that I am your man, and I always will be. We are going to fight for this in this lifetime."
Yun Li felt her heart tremble uncontrollably. Her eyes reddened as she closed her mouth. "If you keep this up, I'm going to kick you out."
Jiang Shiyu's neatly tailored suit became disheveled, adding to his allure. His sharp gaze radiated an air of arrogance that was wild and untamed. Could she bear it?
Yun Li reached out and pinched one of his muscles, glaring at him. That glance was so charming that Jiang Shiyu let out a soft breath. She whispered in his ear, "Good Baby."
The sturdy bed had become precarious, creaking ominously as if it might collapse at any moment.
Yun Li wrapped her arms around his broad, solid back and said with a quivering voice, "Next time, let's go to your place. My bed has held up fine all this time; it broke the moment you came over."
Jiang Shiyu lifted her up to sit, but the bed creaked even louder under their weight.
Yun Li blushed deeply and covered his mouth with her hand. "Shh."
"Be good," he murmured softly.
Yun Li bit her lip tightly, not letting out a sound. He chuckled lightly, his voice low and enticing. "Do you like me or Fu Jing more?"
Yun Li gave him a light shove. "Are you crazy?"
Jiang Shiyu pressed on relentlessly, still asking, "Between me and Fu Jing, who do you like?"
Yun Li wanted to stubbornly say Fu Jing, but Jiang Shiyu caught on to her little movements of pouting and frowning and immediately threatened her.
"Dare to say his name tonight? Don't stop."
Yun Li pouted in complaint. "Then I can only choose you; you're shameless."
"Choose or not? Be good and say you choose me." He coaxed her.
Yun Li leaned against his shoulder and softly whimpered, "You... I choose you."
Jiang Shiyu held her tightly, the corners of his mouth lifting even more but still not enough. "Say 'Jiang Shiyu' three times."
Yun Li bit him lightly. "Not saying it."
Jiang Shiyu adjusted their position, gripping the pillow tightly with one hand while his voice trembled intermittently.
"Jiang Shiyu, are you crazy?!"
"Say you like me," he whispered softly in her ear.
Yun Li couldn't resist and stammered, "I like you."
"Who?"
He truly knew how to torment her, not letting this slip away. With a sigh of resignation, Yun Li called out his name, Jiang Shiyu.
"Say it all together."
Yun Li was angry, but in the next moment, she succumbed, burying her head in the pillow and murmuring, "I like Jiang Shiyu."
She hadn't changed out of her nightgown, a pure white dress with delicate lace trim at the neckline, which Jiang Shiyu found just as enticing as any intimate attire.
Knowing she was tired today, Jiang Shiyu didn't continue to tease her. He lay down beside her and gently kissed her. "Good girl."
His voice was incredibly tender, pouring all his affection into her: "Baby, shall we get back together?"
Yun Li's eyes brimmed with tears again as she choked out, "No."
His gentle actions made everything feel clearer and more intense.
Yun Li trembled, her toes curling tightly together, her cheeks flushed, making her look utterly adorable.
Jiang Shiyu took this opportunity to be honest with her.
He paused his movements and wiped away the tears that had slipped from the corners of her eyes. "I now have the strength to confront Shi Yi. Trust me."
Yun Li turned her head away and repeated, "No."
Jiang Shiyu covered both of them with the blanket.
With gentle motions, he wiped her tears and finally pressed a kiss to her damp eyelids.
His voice was thick with emotion. "I won't hide anything from you anymore."
Yun Li nestled into his embrace, her snow-white arms draped around his neck as she sniffled.
Her gaze fell on the tattoo on his chest and the scar left by a bullet wound.
"Why did you get a tattoo in that spot?"
Jiang Shiyu ran his fingers through her hair, smoothing it out. "At that time, I thought this bullet was my punishment; I deserved it. I thought if you had pulled the trigger instead..."
"At least you could bear some of it," he continued. "So I got this tattoo to represent your cloud and your initials."
"That's ridiculous," Yun Li said firmly, disapprovingly.
