Jiang Shiyu was playing Marco Polo when Yun Li, unable to see the hero clearly, asked, "Qin Nianzhe, where are you?"
Jiang Shiyu replied via voice, "The one with blue skin, holding two guns."
Yun Li glanced at the text on her left and exclaimed, "Oh!" She followed Qin Nianzhe closely throughout the game.
Yun Li felt nervous while playing; whenever an enemy approached, she would either run backward or hide behind Qin Nianzhe.
"Incoming! Run!"
"When your ultimate is ready, just come to me. I’ll protect you," he instructed.
Yun Li saw the enemy and tried to follow his advice, but inevitably got knocked down by the opposing Sun Shangxiang. Her reaction speed was slow, and she didn’t know where to run. Even with protection, she still ended up defeated.
Yun Li felt like crying.
Jiang Shiyu comforted her, "If the enemy uses their first skill on you and their second skill deals damage, just forget about me if your ultimate gets interrupted. Just use your skills."
Yun Li nodded seriously. "Okay."
Inspired by his words, she thought, how could she not win in such a small game?
After dying twice, Yun Li learned a bit about tactics: her first skill could control enemies, her second skill dealt damage, and when her ultimate was ready, she would target the enemies directly. She quickly tapped her first skill followed by her second.
Qin Nianzhe noted that her tactics were indeed impressive; she could easily handle one against two.
Yun Li eagerly picked up the fallen enemies' heads. She smiled happily; it was her first time feeling such a strong sense of achievement.
The game ended in just ten minutes.
"I'm on fire! Qin Nianzhe, you're amazing! Let's play again!"
Qin Nianzhe gifted Yun Li several skins and typed, "Switching to these skins feels better."
Yun Li knew where to claim them and happily accepted. "You're so generous! When I return from Tibet, I'll bring you something nice!"
"Tibet?" he typed back. "Are you going to Tibet?"
"Yes! Just make a list for me, and I'll bring it to you, for free!"
After playing three rounds with Yun Li, it was over.
Qin Nianzhe cautiously came in and asked, "Have you had enough, brother?"
Jiang Shiyu tossed his phone to him. "Let me borrow your account for a couple of days."
Qin Nianzhe immediately understood. "Okay, I'll send you my account and password right now."
Jiang Shiyu took the phone and messaged someone named Xiao Kuan.
"Is she in Tibet?"
"Yes, boss. She took leave, and we all think it's to heal from a broken heart."
Jiang Shiyu replied: "?"
"She and Brother Cheng are together. We can tell she has feelings for him, but we don't know why they're not together."
"I've been feeling sorry for her these days; she’s been forcing a smile."
"Crying."
Jiang Shiyu looked at the message with mixed emotions. Half of him felt joy, while the other half was worried about her. He stood by the large floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the tall buildings outside. The low pressure he felt was colder than the biting wind.
Jiang Shiyu made a phone call. Before the other side could speak, he coldly said, "If you don't like her, then don't mess with her."
"I can't even beg for you, and yet you won't agree?"
The other side was furious upon hearing this. "Are you here to show off your power, Jiang Shiyu?"
"Yun Li doesn't like me. Even if she has feelings for you in her heart, it's impossible between you two. What are you so proud of?"
He Lin Cheng was practically livid. He had just lost his beloved and now had to endure mockery from this winner. No matter how good-natured he was, he couldn't stand it.
Jiang Shiyu's icy anger dissipated in an instant. Spring had arrived, but he felt as if he had lost something. All that remained was a daze, unable to find his voice again.
His voice was hoarse. "What did you say?"
He Lin Cheng, in a fit of anger, also sensed something off in his tone. He fell silent for two seconds, calming down as he realized what was happening.
"You heard wrong." After saying that, he hung up.
