Yun Li pondered, unable to understand. She decided to take the initiative, wrapping her arms around his and leaning against his arm. "Look at that tree, it grows so strangely!"
Jiang Shiyu glanced over. "Hmm, it even has two horns." Though he said that, he had already pulled his arm away and grasped her hand instead.
"What’s going on? Doesn’t he usually like this?"
After dinner outside, they returned to the hotel. Yun Li stood in front of him while Jiang Shiyu was bent down changing his shoes. "Didn’t you say you would teach me self-defense moves?"
"Let’s do it now." He looked up, took her hand, and said, "Next time someone grabs your hand like this, just stick out your thumb, lift your elbow, press against their wrist, and then use your upper arm strength to push down quickly."
Yun Li tried it out and found it easy to learn. "It seems different from what you just did."
"The move I showed you earlier requires more force; this one is just right for you."
Having learned it, Yun Li wrapped her arms around him and tilted her head up to ask, "Why are you so indifferent today?"
Jiang Shiyu's gaze deepened as he gently pinched her cheek. "Are you sure you want me to act recklessly out there?"
Yun Li frowned in confusion. "What do you mean?"
He lifted her chin and kissed her.
Then he picked her up, kissing her as he walked toward the bed.
Yun Li rolled her eyes and pushed against him. "Wait a minute, what are you doing?"
With a deep gaze that made Yun Li shy away, Jiang Shiyu pressed her against the wall, lifting her off the ground.
"You're so cute in that dress; it's beautiful."
As he spoke, he leaned in to kiss her earlobe, his warm breath cascading down her neck, causing Yun Li's face to flush.
Was it because she wore a dress that stirred something in him?
Not daring to think further, she lightly punched his strong chest. "You rogue."
Jiang Shiyu chuckled softly and carried her toward the bed.
Yun Li closed her eyes and bit her lip.
What should she do? She had brought so many dresses with her. Her voice was soft and charming.
Jiang Shiyu kissed her neck, his tongue teasing her in a way that made her feel a delightful itch. "I love seeing you in a dress," he said, "but it looks like Hao Hao will have to suffer through late nights with me."
As expected, he suggested they go out, and after a day of fun, they ended up staying up half the night. The next day, they woke up late, leaving them with few places to visit. Originally, they had planned to explore all the sights in Liangzhou, but everything got delayed. The carefully crafted itinerary was rendered useless, and most of their time was spent in the hotel. It wasn't until Yun Li's aunt arrived that their unrestrained activities finally came to a halt.
They packed up and headed to the airport for their flight to Yun Cheng. Upon landing, they found the sun in Yun Cheng to be harsher than in Liangzhou, but thankfully, it wasn't too hot. The weather was bearable; the sky was a brilliant blue, and the air was as fresh and natural as in Liangzhou.
Yun Cheng had strong ultraviolet rays, so Yun Li pulled out sunscreen and sat on the cream-colored sofa, applying it to her legs. Just then, Jiang Shiyu emerged from the bathroom and was greeted by a beautiful sight. They were staying at a quaint inn that exuded an old-world charm. She sat on the cream-colored sofa by the window in a pink floral dress, her long legs slender and delicate. The body lotion she applied blended seamlessly with her smooth skin.
Outside the window were rustic buildings with wooden frames that evoked a sense of a martial arts world. A gentle breeze stirred her hair at the temples, bringing with it the sweet scent of her lotion mingling with the fresh fragrance from outside.
Yun Li noticed him and waved. "Let me help you apply some too; the UV rays are strong here in Yun Cheng. If you don’t protect your skin well, you’ll easily get tanned."
Jiang Shiyu shrugged it off lazily, "A man can afford to be a little darker."
But he still walked over to her. "Let me help you apply it."
