Yun Li found the photo and showed it to him.
Jiang Shiyu's relaxed expression turned serious in an instant upon seeing it.
Yun Li's heart sank, feeling a wave of suffocation.
"Who is this girl?" he asked, his voice trembling with urgency.
At that moment, his heart began to race in panic.
"Who sent this to you?" Jiang Shiyu's tone was much heavier than usual.
Yun Li felt a sudden loss of strength and let his hand drop, the phone screen resting on the sofa.
"Zheng Yating," he said, raising his eyes to look at him with sorrow. "So you really have someone else in your heart? Why did you lie to me?"
Yun Li stood up from his lap and faced him.
Jiang Shiyu frowned, and when he saw her tears falling one by one, his heart ached. He pulled her back onto his lap, using his fingertips to wipe away her tears.
"This can't get back to that Chi Zhi Yu kid; otherwise, he'll want to fight me."
With a nonchalant tone, Yun Li stared at him in confusion.
Jiang Shiyu sighed silently. "Did she show you the text message screenshot?"
Yun Li nodded, waiting for him to explain without saying a word.
"The content of the message is true." After saying that, Yun Li felt a surge of anger and prepared to jump off his lap, but Jiang Shiyu held her shoulder and supported her waist.
"Let me finish. The content is true, but it wasn't me who said it."
"It was Chi Zhi Yu who told her using my number as a relay."
Yun Li's mind was a bit chaotic, but he quickly sorted through the events. The girl in the photo was also someone Chi Zhi Yu liked.
Zheng Yating misunderstood that Jiang Shiyu liked her, and Jiang Shiyu didn’t clarify, which led to this misunderstanding escalating to this point.

"She said you were promiscuous because of that girl, that you had feelings for her, and that you insulted her while being with her. She claimed you held a grudge against her."
Jiang Shiyu couldn't help but chuckle at that; she really had a vivid imagination.
"Do you remember when I told you about my biological father?"
Yun Li nodded, still having no clear impression of Jiang Shiyu's father.
Jiang Shiyu swallowed hard, hesitating for a moment before deciding to lay everything bare to prevent any future misunderstandings. "I used to act out just to spite him. He wanted me to be the person he envisioned; I refused to comply. From the moment he brought women home, I started to despise any woman who touched me."
Disgust flickered in Jiang Shiyu's eyes as memories flooded back—those sounds echoing from the master bedroom, the deliberate moans and screams of a woman. The noise grew louder, enough for all the servants in the villa to hear.
He remembered cursing that woman alongside his nanny while covering his younger brother Ji Xiao's ears. Yet, he still heard it all.
This left him with severe psychological scars; afterward, no female servant could come near him—not even the nanny who had cared for him since childhood. They took him to see a doctor, who merely diagnosed him with psychological trauma. Soon after, all the female servants were dismissed, leaving him alone in the villa.
Yun Li felt a chill creep up her spine as she absorbed this revelation; she couldn't fathom how lonely and desperate he must have felt during that time.
