After finishing their meal, Cheng Zhou and Shu Ran headed off to reunite with their families, while Jiang Shiyu was set to meet Yun and a few others. Once they finished eating, everyone went their separate ways.
After seeing off a few people, Yun turned to the person beside her. "Where are we going?"
Jiang Shiyu raised his hand to check his watch. "The car will be here in two minutes."
Sure enough, two minutes later, the car arrived—it was the Rolls-Royce he drove earlier. Uncle Ke got out of the car, smiling as he glanced at Yun before addressing Jiang Shiyu. "Young Master, the car has arrived."
Jiang Shiyu took the keys, opened the passenger door, and said to Yun, "Get in."
Yun smiled and nodded at Uncle Ke before getting into the car. Uncle Ke watched as the car disappeared from view and took out his phone to make a call.
It wasn't long before the call connected. "Sir, Young Master has left with his girlfriend."
Jiang Zesheng's voice was filled with excitement. "Is it the Little Girl I told you about?"
"Yes, that's her," Uncle Ke confirmed.
Jiang Zesheng was thrilled and urged Uncle Ke to share all the details quickly.
Jiang Shiyu took Yun to see a movie—a romantic film. The intimate scenes made Yun glance nervously at him. It was her first time watching a movie with Jiang Shiyu, especially a romance, and she felt a bit shy.
She picked up her soda and gently bit on the straw as she drank, unable to look at the screen. The feeling was akin to watching something inappropriate with her parents—embarrassingly awkward.
When the movie ended, the conclusion was quite sweet. As they exited the cinema, Yun's face was flushed and warm; she wasn't sure if it was just from the heat.
After visiting the restroom, she came out to find Jiang Shiyu talking to a girl. The girl had bright, glistening eyes as she looked at him. Jiang Shiyu had one hand in his pocket and was facing away from Yun, so she couldn't see his expression clearly.
"Shiyu," the girl said, "I’ve missed you so much! Why have you been ignoring me?"
The current situation had come to an end, leaving just the two of them. Yun felt a sudden pause in her breath; she recognized her. They had been together with Jiang Shiyu back in high school.
At that time, she and Jiang Shiyu had dated for two months. Everyone thought Jiang Shiyu would settle down for her, but unexpectedly, they broke up two months later. The breakup was quite a spectacle, known throughout the entire school, leading to both of them being called in by their parents.
Yun remembered Ran Ran telling her that when the girls' families caused a scene at school, Jiang Shiyu's father intervened and used money to smooth things over. Jiang Shiyu had also been beaten by his father, struck with a thick wooden stick that left him injured. He hadn’t uttered a single word during that ordeal.
Seeing such a proud person being suppressed like that in front of everyone made Yun cry for a long time. She had even asked Shu Ran to deliver medicine to Jiang Shiyu, though she wasn't sure if it was of any help.
Yun's expression stiffened as she turned to wash her hands. Hearing the sound of running water from inside, Jiang Shiyu approached her side and carefully took out a paper towel to wipe the water from her hands.
Witnessing this scene, the girl glared at Yun with resentment. Feeling Yun's hands were somewhat cold, Jiang Shiyu held her hands in his palms and rubbed them gently. "Let's go," he said.
Yun nodded and then glanced at the girl. The girl stepped forward to block Jiang Shiyu's path. "You really can't forgive me?" she asked.
Jiang Shiyu's brows furrowed with a hint of anger; his irritation was evident as he replied, "Move aside." His voice was much heavier than usual.
She was taken aback, not expecting him to be angry after having seemed so calm just moments before. She looked at Yun with disdain.
Jiang Shiyu led Yun around the girl and continued walking without saying a word, and Yun remained silent as well throughout their journey.
