Yun watched as he dipped the dumplings in chili oil, savoring each bite. He truly loved spicy food. However, only those accustomed to chili could understand the joy it brought. Yun had taken a long time to adapt at first, but eventually, he too became unable to enjoy food without spice. 0

Jiang Shiyu quickly finished twenty dumplings. Yun had eaten half of the scallion pancake, and there was still a bit left on the plate. Noticing that she had stopped eating, Jiang Shiyu asked if she was full. Yun nodded; she actually wanted more, but she knew that if she ate any more, her weight would be hard to control. 0

Jiang Shiyu picked up the remaining piece and popped it into her mouth, finishing it off completely. Yun's eyes revealed a hint of envy; she wished she could eat without any reservations. 0

After finishing their meal, Jiang Shiyu wiped her mouth and stood up to pay. The two of them stepped out of the Dumpling Shop. The evening air in Zheng City was still a bit chilly, and as the wind blew, Yun wrapped her knitted sweater tighter around herself. 0

Neither of them spoke for a while. To lighten the mood, Yun thought about mentioning that yesterday she and Liu Han had gone out and he took many photos of them. They turned out quite nice. 0

Jiang Shiyu turned to look at her and asked, "Who is Liu Han?" 0

"He's a classmate from our class," Yun replied. 0

"How many of you went?" Jiang Shiyu inquired. 0

"Four of us," Yun answered, feeling the atmosphere become less tense. 0

Jiang Shiyu gazed into the distance and asked, "Was He Lin Cheng with you?" 0

Yun nodded directly. "Yes, the senior took us around to see the sights." 0

Jiang Shiyu squinted slightly and asked casually, "Did you take pictures with him?" 0

Yun didn’t catch any underlying meaning in her question and replied obediently, "Yes, we took a lot of photos; I can't even count them all. We'll have to wait until we get back to develop them." 0

The topic quickly came to an end, and they fell into silence again. They walked aimlessly for a while, and Yun actually wanted to ask him why he had come here. 0

But she didn't know how to start. 0

After a moment of hesitation, Yun Qiao Qiao glanced at his profile, and suddenly a soft, clear voice broke through the chaos in her mind. 0

Jiang Shiyu looked at her, and Yun stopped in her tracks, still too shy to meet his gaze. "What are you doing here in Zheng City?" 0

Jiang Shiyu had his hands in his pockets, his eyes dark and deep as he regarded her. The sharpness of his demeanor made Yun Xin shrink back, regretting having asked the question. 0

Watching the girl with her lowered brows and gently trembling eyelashes, her cheeks catching the light breeze that tousled her hair, she reached up to tuck it behind her ear. Her ears were slightly flushed, and the corner of her mouth turned down in a way that seemed almost defeated. 0

Inside, Jiang Shiyu felt a tightening in his chest, as if a string was about to snap. 0

"I came to find you." 0

Those two words suddenly brightened her forlorn eyes. She was momentarily stunned, slowly lifting her head as her heart raced loudly enough for her to hear it clearly. 0

Yun blinked, feeling an odd sense of unreality wash over her, while the boy before her wore a gentle smile that seemed to reflect only her. Did this mean he had feelings for her too? 0

For some reason, Yun felt a surge of courage. Her eyelashes fluttered as she took a deep breath; her voice trembled as she spoke, and her heart raced faster, threatening to leap out of her chest. 0

"Jiang Shiyu, I..." She stammered for a moment, feeling flustered and unable to articulate what she wanted to say. 0

Her eyes showed confusion, but then she steadied herself and raised her almond-shaped eyes again. 0

With a clear and soft voice that trembled with shyness yet remained resolute, she said, "Jiang Shiyu, if you can agree to them, can you agree to me?" 0

The boy's eyes widened in surprise; he froze for a moment, his cool fingertips pausing mid-air as he held a cigarette. 0

Thoughts of Shi Yi's words from yesterday resurfaced in his mind. 0

"Which country did your dad send you abroad to study?" 0

"To England. I've arranged everything for you; when you graduate, you'll take over your grandfather's company." 0

Shi Yi spoke with an authoritative tone, completely disregarding him. 0

Jiang Shiyu smirked sarcastically. "You and he are quite alike; one wrong word from me and you summon me here to give orders." 0

"Don't ask me anymore; just have someone tie me up and take me away." 0

Shi Yi showed no anger; she simply lifted her beautiful almond-shaped eyes to look at the computer screen before her. Dressed in a tailored suit with short hair, her tone was flat and emotionless: "A Yu, it's time to settle down after two years of playing around." 0

Mother's company can't be given to outsiders! 0

Jiang Shiyu sat casually in a black leather chair, his posture relaxed as he crossed his legs, exuding the air of a wealthy playboy. 0

With the blood of the Shi Family running through your veins, you can never truly be an outsider. 0

Ignoring this, Jiang Shiyu stood up to leave, but Shi Yi finally looked at him, his gaze still cold and indifferent. "A Yu, you can play around as much as you want outside, but your marriage partner must be someone I choose." 0

He thought that by having fun outside, they would eventually feel something, but to his surprise, they remained utterly unmoved. It was rather disappointing when he thought about it. 0

Jiang Shiyu turned around and reached into his bag to pull out a pack of cigarettes. His eyelids drooped as he flicked open his lighter and lit one up, the smoke slowly curling out from his mouth. 0

After a long silence without any response, Yun's hopeful gaze gradually turned to disappointment. 0
