The dancers stood on stage, bowing to the audience, who responded with thunderous applause. As they stepped off the stage, the excitement and tension still lingered in the air.
Their teacher approached, saying, "Come on, come on, it's time for photos!" Everyone gathered together, turning to face the camera for a group shot. The atmosphere was joyful and harmonious.
"Let’s tidy up and head to the hotel for dinner," the teacher cheerfully announced. The group erupted in cheers.
Yun removed her makeup and changed her clothes. They all boarded a bus heading to the hotel for their meal. Yun sent a message in their group chat: **[It's over!]** and shared the photos they had taken.
Qin Nianzhe sent a flurry of compliments: **[Yun, you look stunning in that outfit, I'm drooling!]**
Qin Nianchu: **[Silly Dog, please put away that lewd expression.]**
Qin Nianzhe: **[Angry face]**
Chen Jin Xiu: **[When are you coming back?]**
Yun Qian typed back with a smile: **[Tomorrow morning, we're going to dinner now.]**
Xu Jiaxing: **[What a pity I can't see it live.]**
Zhang Mingyu: **[I was hoping to go to the Grand Theater, but it seems I won't get that chance.]**
Qin Nianchu: **[That's easy! In the future, when our baby performs at the Ge Theatre, you'll have plenty of opportunities to contribute tickets.]**
Zhang Mingyu: **[Oh wow!]**
Yun put down her phone and gazed out at the night scenery. In just ten minutes, they arrived at the hotel. Everyone got off the bus and headed towards the restaurant on the second floor. The teacher had reserved a large private room that could comfortably accommodate over forty people.
Three tables were set up. The atmosphere in the private room quickly became lively as everyone chatted away.
He Lin Cheng sat next to Yun, thoughtfully helping her open her utensils. The others immediately began to tease them.
Yun Lian quickly said, "Thank you, senior, but I can do it myself." A shiver ran down her spine; the teasing was louder than a lethal dose of poison. Nowadays, university professors didn’t mind students dating, so she just smiled along with the laughter.
Feeling uncomfortable, Yun decided to switch seats after a brief discussion with the girl beside her. He Lin Cheng didn’t react much; everyone knew Yun was shy and would feel embarrassed being teased like that.
The dishes were served, featuring special dishes from the flower market, and everyone happily drank a little. Most of them were girls, but they could hold their liquor well enough.
Yun wasn’t one for lively gatherings; she preferred to sit quietly and watch everyone have fun, which made her happy in its own way. She picked up her phone and casually browsed through it, noticing a message on WeChat.
When she opened it, she saw it was from Jiang Shiyu. Her finger hesitated for a moment, and her heart skipped a beat. She looked at the screen where he had asked, "Where are you?" half an hour ago.
Her fingertips trembled slightly as she tapped to reply, noticing his profile picture was of a Samoyed. Checking the note confirmed it was indeed Jiang Shiyu.
She replied, "Eating at the hotel."
The moment she sent it, he replied almost instantly, causing her hand to shake slightly as she almost dropped her phone.
"Send me the address."
Yun sent him the address. After that, there was no response from him. She began to zone out, her eyes showing signs of anxiety.
Noticing something was off with Yun, the person next to her asked with concern, "What’s wrong?"
Yun shook her head and smiled slightly. "It's nothing, I just had a bit to drink and feel a little dizzy."
The woman replied, "Then you should eat some food."
Yun nodded in agreement.
She absentmindedly picked at the vegetables on her plate.
About ten minutes later, her phone lit up. Yun put down her chopsticks and opened it to take a look.
Her breath caught in her throat as her heart began to race in a flurry of panic.
