On the dimly lit street, the weather had turned cold, and at this hour, there were hardly any people around. Jiang Shiyu wore a thin black jacket over a black hoodie, blending seamlessly into the night. 0

There was a hint of hostility in his eyes, and the skin around his Peach Blossom Eyes was tinged red. His bony hands were clenched into fists, the knuckles stark against his pale skin. An overwhelming aura of aggression surrounded him, exuding a palpable sense of pressure. 0

He irritably lit a cigarette, taking a deep drag and exhaling thick clouds of smoke. The words of the man echoed in his ears: "I’m your father; you have to listen to me. You must go abroad for your studies. After two years of fun, you’ll really think you’re something." 0

He had been summoned to his father Jiang Hao's temporary residence in Jing City before the gathering had even ended. Upon arrival, a woman kept by Jiang Hao opened the door for him. 0

With a soft smile, she said, "A Yu is here! Come in quickly." 0

Jiang Shiyu ignored her, radiating an air of cold arrogance and intimidation. He strode in confidently and plopped down on the sofa without hesitation. 0

The woman was named Yu Lian, just eighteen years old, nine years younger than Jiang Shiyu. Despite her youth, she was well-maintained and dressed more like a college student than a wealthy mistress; her long hair cascaded down to her waist, and she wore a high-collared knit top. 0

She poured him a glass of warm water and placed it in front of him. "A Yu, your dad is in a meeting and will be down soon." 0

Jiang Shiyu looked up with disdain, his voice edged with irritation. "Don’t call me A Yu." 0

This woman had been taken under Jiang Hao's wing while still in college and had brazenly entered Jiang Shiyu's home in Jiangzhou. That house was the marital home of Jiang Hao and Shi Yi, where Jiang Hao had engaged in unspeakable acts with her. 0

Jiang Shiyu would never forget that day; he had never shown Yu Lian any kindness. Her expression shifted to one of discomfort as Jiang Hao's deep and authoritative voice boomed from upstairs: "A Yu, how can you speak to your aunt like that? Has your upbringing been eaten by dogs?" 0

Jiang Shiyu smirked coldly, "My upbringing is for people; I don’t waste it on things that aren’t human." 0

Yu Lian's eyes instantly filled with tears as she covered her mouth, looking utterly distressed as if she had suffered an immense injustice. 0

Jiang Shiyu turned his gaze away in annoyance; he had seen this act many times before, each instance provoking Jiang Hao's furious outbursts on her behalf. 0

This time, without a doubt, Jiang Hao picked up the cup from the table and threw it. 0

Jiang Shiyu had anticipated this and dodged out of the way. The cup hit the sofa with a dull thud but did not shatter. 0

Yu Lian weakly intervened, "Don't do this, Jiang Hao. A Yu just doesn't like me; if I don't show up, it will be fine." As she spoke, she wiped away her tears again. 0

Jiang Shiyu replied coldly, "Do you think I would let you hit me like before?" 0

Jiang Hao was infuriated. He was tall and had not gained weight; it was hard to tell that he was already over forty. He still carried an air of refined elegance, but when he got angry, he exuded an intimidating presence. After all, managing so many companies was no simple feat. 0

Jiang Hao pulled Yu Lian down to sit. "I didn't call you here to argue. You've had your fun; once the semester ends, you're going abroad to study." 0

Jiang Shiyu stood there nonchalantly, exuding an aura of defiance. With a rebellious glint in his eyes, he seemed ready to throw caution to the wind. "If you have something to say, just find someone to tie me up; otherwise, you can forget about sending me abroad." 0

"You—" Jiang Hao stood up in anger, his lips trembling. Jiang Shiyu ignored him and cast a cold glance with his peach blossom eyes before turning to leave. 0

Jiang Hao shouted from behind, "I am your father! You have to listen to me! You must go abroad for your studies! You really think you can just play around for two years?" 0

Jiang Shiyu had already opened the door and slammed it behind him. 0

He leaned against a streetlight, the bright light casting a pale glow over him. After finishing one cigarette, he lit another. His phone vibrated, but he ignored it; then it vibrated again. Annoyed, he picked it up and saw that it was a message from Qin Nianzhe questioning him. 0

He couldn't be bothered to read it but caught sight of the name Yun Li. 0

He then clicked into Yun Li's Moments and saw a post that read, "I have company now." 0

Opening the picture revealed a Crystal Glass Polar Bear and a Coconut Carving shell bowl. Below were numerous comments from friends, all of which Yun Li had replied to one by one. Through the words, he could imagine what the girl looked like—teasing with a gentle smile while looking at you earnestly with her bright almond-shaped eyes that stirred something deep within him, bittersweet yet thrilling. 0

Jiang Shiyu exhaled a puff of smoke before extinguishing the cigarette and bending down to toss it into the trash can. 0

He hailed a cab and hoarsely told the driver, "Jing Wu." 0
