Jiang Shiyu looked at her expression and felt that she didn't seem well. 0

Qin Nianzhe noticed her lack of enthusiasm and the fatigue in her eyes, and he asked with concern, "Yun Li, have you been too tired lately?" 0

Yun Li forced a smile, pulling at the corners of her lips. "A little." 0

Li Li Bao Bei, the female protagonist, thought to herself that she needed to take care of Yun Li more. "You've worked hard, dear. Eat more." Qin Nianchu picked up a piece of rib and placed it on Yun Li's plate. 0

Yun Li just smiled and said nothing. 0

After finishing their meal, Qin Nianzhe insisted that they see him off at the school gate. 0

"Is it going to kill you to walk us out?" 0

Qin Nianchu immediately replied, "Yes." 0

"Hey, Qin Nianchu, I came over to see you out of kindness, and this is your attitude?" 0

Qin Nianchu scoffed lightly, "I didn't ask you to come." 0

Everyone was used to their playful banter. Chen Jin Xiu linked her arm with Yun Li's and sighed, "Having siblings is really nice." 0

Qin Nianchu disagreed, "Where's the nice part? It's not nice at all." 0

Qin Nianzhe nodded in agreement, "Right, you've always been contrary since we were kids." 0

In the end, they did see them off; Qin Nianchu was just saying it for show. She wouldn't be that heartless. 0

When they reached the school gate, Qin Nianzhe stood by the roadside and took out his phone to call for a ride. 0

Suddenly, a female voice called out from a distance, mentioning Jiang Shiyu's name. Everyone turned to look. 0

Yun Li was taken aback; it was her. 0

The girl ran over and looked at Jiang Shiyu with a hint of grievance. "Why didn't you reply to my messages?" 0

Qin Nianzhe recognized her. "Zhao Xiaoyi? What are you doing here?" He remembered that Zhao Xiaoyi's university wasn't in Beijing but far away at Southern University. 0

Zhao Xiaoyi glanced at Jiang Shiyu, and it seemed that everyone understood what was happening. 0

Jiang Shiyu furrowed her brows and said to her, "Come here." 0

Zhao Xiaoyi followed along, and the two of them were talking in the distance. Zhang Mingyu and Xu Jiaxing asked Qin Nianzhe when he had started dating again. Qin Nianzhe was just as confused, replying, "I don't know!" 0

He then opened his phone to scroll through messages from others and stumbled upon some chat records from a class group he had muted. Upon reading them, he understood what was going on. Laughing and cursing, he said, "This guy hooked up with someone during National Day." 0

Zhang Mingyu and Xu Jiaxing exchanged knowing glances and chuckled. Yun Li felt uneasy and said to Qin Nianchu, "I’m going to be late; I’ll head out first." Qin Nianchu nodded without noticing anything unusual, replying, "Okay." 0

Yun Li didn’t look back and turned to leave. Jiang Shiyu and Zhao Xiaoyi exchanged a few casual words before preparing to leave as well. Before departing, Jiang Shiyu remarked, "Don’t come looking for me again." 0

Jiang Shiyu raised his eyes and saw Yun Li walking away towards the school. Zhao Xiaoyi couldn’t hold back her tears any longer. "You don’t reply to my messages or come to hang out with me; of course I’m worried! Isn’t being in a relationship about staying in touch? Besides, we’re in a long-distance relationship; your behavior makes me feel so insecure." 0

Jiang Shiyu stared in the direction where Yun Li had gone, feeling an inexplicable irritation wash over him at Zhao Xiaoyi's words. In the past, every girlfriend would cry and seek him out, but he remained indifferent and unaffected. 0

Listening to her now only heightened his annoyance; he didn’t want to hear another word. "Zhao Xiaoyi, I thought I made myself very clear back then," he said coldly, a hint of defiance evident in his expression. 0

Zhao Xiaoyi stopped crying and stared at him in shock. After he left that day, she called him. Jiang Shiyu answered while sitting in a car, eyes closed. 0

His voice was low and devoid of warmth: "For one month, I won’t reach out to you; don’t reach out to me either. If you need something, just tell me directly, and I’ll transfer the money to you. Don’t expect anything else; if you can’t accept that, then so be it." 0

Fearing that he might say they should break up at any moment, Zhao Xiaoyi immediately agreed. 0

She thought to herself that she needed to make the most of every minute and second in this month to warm his heart. However, Jiang Shiyu didn’t give her any chance; he didn’t reply to her messages, and she had no idea where he was. 0

As the month drew to a close, she felt anxious and desperate, which is why she rushed to Beijing to find him. Jiang Shiyu transferred another twenty thousand to her. Zhao Xiaoyi refused to accept it; she had never been interested in his money. 0
