Yun Li put down the dolphin, her tone noticeably lighter. "Then I'll buy this one."
Jiang Shiyu asked, "Aren't you going to take a look inside? There might be more interesting things in there."
Upon hearing this, Yun Li's heart skipped a beat. She slowly replied, "You've been here before?"
Jiang Shiyu replied casually, "Yes, a few times."
Yun Li tightened her grip on the crystal glass polar star, bit her lip, and lowered her gaze to hide the emotions in her eyes. She tried to keep her tone steady. "I see! With Qin Nianzhe?"
Jiang Shiyu answered bluntly, "Ex-girlfriend."
Her suspicion was confirmed. Yun Li pretended to look at other items before putting the Polar Bear down. "I'll look at something else."
Jiang Shiyu nodded.
As they moved further inside, Yun Li lost interest completely and focused on anything but the items around them. The two walked in silence until Yun Li's phone rang. She answered, "We're on the fifth floor. We'll come down right away."
After hanging up, Yun Li turned to him and said, "Let's go! Nianchu said there's a Dolphin Show on the third floor that’s about to start."
Jiang Shiyu glanced at her empty hands. "Aren't you going to buy one to take home?"
Yun Li shook her head, her tone distant. "No need."
Without giving him a chance to respond, she walked away.
The third floor was crowded with people eager to see the Dolphin Show. Yun Li and her brother Qin Nianchu met up at the entrance. Qin Nianzhe asked, "Where's A Yu?"
Yun Li looked around but didn't see him. "I don't know; maybe he got lost in the crowd."
Qin Nianzhe said, "Then let's go in first."
After finding their seats, Qin Nianzhe called A Yu. He arrived shortly after, carrying a gift box.
Yun Li only glanced at it briefly before looking away; it was probably for his girlfriend. After all, the end of the month was approaching, and his girlfriend would soon be celebrating something.
She felt uneasy and couldn't focus on the Dolphin Show at all.
Once the show ended, Yun Li had lost all desire to continue exploring and found a place to rest while waiting for Qin Nianchu to finish taking photos.
Qin Nianzhe didn’t have time to browse either and was reluctantly pulled back into work.
Yun Li looked down at her phone when someone approached her. "Excuse me, beautiful, can we get to know each other?"
She raised her head, and the boy's eyes brightened a bit more upon seeing her. His smile widened as he stammered, "I’m a student at Kyoto University. You look like you’re a university student too, right?"
Yun Li blinked her watery almond-shaped eyes and politely replied, "I'm sorry, but it's not really convenient for me."
The boy's face turned red as he awkwardly touched his neck. "Oh! Are you afraid I’ll disturb you? I promise I won’t offend you," he said earnestly and shyly.
Feeling that it was becoming increasingly difficult to reject him, Yun Li tightened her grip on her phone and prepared to extend it when a steady voice interrupted from the side. "Have you taken a break? Would you like to go over there and take a look?"
Yun Li turned to see Jiang Shiyu approaching. His cold Peach Blossom Eyes were fixed on the boy, carrying a hint of pressure. "Do you have business here?"
The boy met Jiang Shiyu's deep gaze and felt somewhat flustered. Realizing something, he quickly said to Yun Li, "Sorry for bothering you."
Once the boy left, Yun Li withdrew her gaze and spoke in a calm, distant tone. "Thank you."
Jiang Shiyu casually sat down next to her, his long legs sprawled out as he shoved his hands into his pockets. With a lazy expression, he asked nonchalantly, "Not in a good mood?"
Yun Li shook her head and tightened her hands to keep herself alert. "You can go have fun! I’m fine alone."
Jiang Shiyu looked down at the gift box resting on his lap. He picked it up and placed it in her arms. Yun Li stared in surprise at the box in her lap.
It wasn’t very big; the black rectangular design felt light in her hands. "What’s this?"
"It’s for you. Didn’t you like it earlier?"
Hearing his words, Yun Li's eyes widened slightly before she lowered them to hide her emotions and replied softly, "Thank you."
She had originally liked it, but he had already given it to someone else. However, she should be happy to receive gifts from others, and she had no right to question who he had given it to before.
Seeing that she still looked the same, Jiang Shiyu clicked his tongue lightly and raised an eyebrow. "Still not in a good mood?"
