Xu Jiaxing looked at her with admiration. "You are amazing! I heard there are many talented people in your class, and you managed to come in first. That's incredible! You're truly exceptional!"
Qin Nianchu, chewing on a rib, mumbled, "So it was really a matter of life and death for me to get into Jing Wu. It was like a battle of gods; no one would back down. Only Yun made me truly convinced."
"Do you know that Yun has a strange habit?" Qin Nianchu teased, piquing everyone's curiosity.
"What kind of habit?" Zhang Mingyu asked, his eyes lighting up with interest.
Qin Nianchu set the bone aside and swallowed the meat in his mouth. "Whenever Yun is either in a bad mood or overly happy, he practices until he has no strength left. He just pushes through silently, training hard without a word."
"He's really tough," Qin Nianchu said, his eyes filled with admiration.
This revelation left everyone stunned.
Yun smiled shyly, not as sinister as Qin Nianchu described; he simply practiced normally.
Xu Jiaxing put down his chopsticks. "Yun, your personality is quite similar to Brother Yu's. Whenever Brother Yu is in a bad mood, he dives into the ocean of knowledge."
The last time Brother Yu was pressured into marriage shocked both Yun and Qin Nianchu. Xu Jiaxing quickly corrected himself upon receiving Jiang Shiyu's dangerous glare. "No, no, it wasn't an arranged marriage; it was more like being forced to give that girl a title. Brother Yu had no intention of it, but the girl caused quite a scene. During that time, Brother Yu was so annoyed that he buried himself in studying and kept pestering professors with questions until they were scared of him."
Jiang Shiyu lifted his eyelids and shot him a cold glance, causing Xu Jiaxing to fall silent but still finish his thought.
Yun turned to look at him, the rice in his mouth suddenly tasteless, overwhelmed by an indescribable feeling.
Qin Nianzhe chimed in, "That girl who spoke so rudely yesterday."
With this reminder, both Yun and Qin Nianchu knew exactly who he meant.
Qin Nianzhe continued boldly from afar, "That girl was crying and shouting at Jiang Shiyu, calling him a jerk and saying his heart was so cold that no matter how much warmth he tried to give, it wouldn't help."
He mimicked her voice, making everyone burst into laughter, especially Xu Jiaxing and Zhang Mingyu.
Ignoring the intimidating glare directed at him, Qin Nianzhe kept going: "You didn't care about me at all! I hate you!"
Jiang Shiyu slammed his chopsticks down onto the plate with a loud clatter. Immediately, Qin Nianzhe lowered his head and obediently returned to eating.
Yun stared down at his rice grain by grain; it tasted like wax and did little to lift his spirits.
So this was why the two had parted ways after less than a month?
Zheng Yating clearly had genuine feelings and wanted Jiang Shiyu to take their relationship seriously. However, Jiang Shiyu seemed indifferent and didn't regard it highly at all.
Such a cold-hearted person truly made one feel heartbroken.
The others didn't dare to laugh either. Qin Nianchu lowered her head, stifling a laugh as she fed Yun some meat, which turned out to be quite delicious. Yun nodded in appreciation.
Jiang Shiyu turned to Qin Nianzhe and said, "Go buy six bottles of drinks."
Without a moment's hesitation, Qin Nianzhe stood up to go buy them, but then suddenly shouted, "Why should I listen to you?"
He exchanged glances with Jiang Shiyu for just two seconds before he conceded and went off to buy the drinks, looking quite dejected. Zhang Mingyu and Xu Jiaxing saw his defeated expression and couldn't help but chuckle, calling out to him in jest.
