The demonic claw descended from the sky, aiming at Jiang Chen. Before it even reached him, the overwhelming pressure had already forced the surrounding seawater outward, leaving Jiang Chen standing in what felt like a deep pit in the ocean.
The sky was shrouded in a murky blood mist, but this scene was still vaguely visible to Ma'erka and the others, as the claw was too large and too conspicuous.
As they saw a hand as massive as a mountain stretching down from the heavens, everyone except Jiang Chen turned pale with shock.
"This kid is doomed; that's the Blood Demon Claw. Even a deity couldn't withstand it," Brower sneered coldly.
Monroe's expression was grave as she clenched her fists tightly, filled with anxiety. Although she was of the blood clan, she didn't know much about it. Now it seemed that the true power of the blood clan might not lie with the Blood Ancestor after all.
If something happened to Jiang Chen, her plans would be ruined, and rescuing her parents would become an unattainable dream. She felt unwilling to accept this fate and glanced at Brower with a burning desire to kill him right then and there. However, she ultimately calmed herself down; even if she attempted a sneak attack now, she was far from Brower's match. She was not Jiang Chen and lacked the extraordinary abilities to disregard him.
"Mr. Jiang, you must be okay," Monroe silently prayed in her heart.
Meanwhile, Ma'erka and her friends were nervously filming with their phones, excitement mixed with tension. Ma'erka herself was extremely anxious, repeatedly making the sign of the cross over her chest, hoping that Jiang Chen would be alright. Of course, she didn't know him personally, but she had already convinced herself that he was the destined one she had been searching for.
The Blood Demon Claw resembled a divine hand descending from above, but Jiang Chen was no mere monkey king.
"Is that all the Demonic Claw can do? What can it possibly do to me?" Jiang Chen smirked as his aura surged explosively. Radiance erupted from his body as he slightly bent his legs and shot forward like a cannonball towards the Blood Demon Claw, sword in hand. Covered in brilliant light, his momentum was unstoppable. The Blood Demon Claw appeared invincible, yet when it collided with Jiang Chen, it felt as if two immense forces were evenly matched, suspended in mid-air without falling.
The clash between them resembled a comet collision, creating a powerful shockwave that roared across the sea surface, stirring up monstrous waves that swallowed a third of the island. Although Ma'erka's yacht had been brought to safety by Jiang Chen, it was still capsized by this shockwave.
Fortunately, it was summer; falling into the water posed no serious danger. However, their phones were lost to the sea, cutting off communication. They were far from the coastline; swimming back was impossible without help. This group of young people faced life-threatening peril.
"Oh no! My phone fell into the sea! I lost all those videos I just recorded; what a shame!"
"My phone is gone too!"
Ma'erka's friends were more concerned about their phones than the capsized yacht. The incident had happened so suddenly that they hadn't even put on life jackets.
"Hey! Where's Ma'erka?"
"Ma'erka!"
Suddenly realizing Ma'erka was missing, they shouted anxiously.
"Ma'erka can swim; where could she have gone? Did she get hurt when the boat flipped? If that's true, then Ma'erka is in danger!" A few of Ma'erka's friends immediately dove into the water but without goggles; they could barely see a few meters ahead underwater.
They flailed about in panic like ants on a hot pan.
In the depths of the sea, Ma'erka's consciousness faded. She had hit her head during the impact and felt powerless all over as she sank to the ocean floor. She tried to control her breathing and fight for survival, but her awareness grew increasingly blurred; the deeper she went, the colder the water became.
