"Over there on the island, it seems like something is really happening. Should we go take a look?" The people around Ma'erka were eager, their youthful spirits always craving adventure.
"Isn't it dangerous? Maybe we shouldn't go. It could be a volcanic eruption; that red gas looks like flames," someone cautioned, hesitant to approach.
"Definitely not a volcanic eruption. Do you think I haven't seen one before? That red mist is strange. We just need to get a closer look; we're not actually going to land on the island," another replied.
After some discussion, they ultimately decided to move closer.
On the island, a stream of blood-red liquid flowed rapidly across the ground, heading towards Jiang Chen.
"You have no room for negotiation now. You forced our Ancestor out, and that won't end well for you," Brower said in a deep voice.
Monroe, standing nearby, instinctively moved closer behind Jiang Chen as she saw the flowing substance that resembled blood. Deep down, she held a sense of reverence for the Blood Ancestor.
Jiang Chen stood with his hands clasped behind his back, his expression unreadable.
The blood flowed up to Jiang Chen's feet and began to gather, forming a humanoid shape that appeared as if covered entirely in blood, obscuring its features.
"Blood Ancestor," Brower quickly bowed, and Monroe followed suit, kneeling down.
The Blood Ancestor ignored both Brower and Monroe, his gaze fixed on Jiang Chen. At that moment, Jiang Chen showed no signs of disturbance, appearing like an ordinary person. Yet just moments ago, he had caused the island to tremble—such power demanded caution.
"For a Divine Bone Order, opposing our blood clan is not worth it. We have remained uninvolved for many years; do not mistake our restraint for fear of you mortals," the Blood Ancestor said coldly as he looked at Jiang Chen.
"The Divine Bone Order originally belongs to Huaxia. I'm merely here to take it back. I intended to purchase it for one billion dollars, but since you are so unwise, there's no need for such expenditure," Jiang Chen replied nonchalantly.
"One billion dollars is a bit low; five hundred billion is too much. How about this: we settle at two hundred billion dollars, and I will give you the Divine Bone Order," the Blood Ancestor proposed.
Brower was taken aback by the Blood Ancestor's words but dared not interject.
Monroe was also stunned; she hadn't expected the legendary cold-hearted Blood Ancestor to be so courteous.
"Earlier, I was willing to offer one billion dollars, but now I can only give you one million. If you're agreeable, we can avoid conflict today. I'll give you the money in exchange for the Divine Bone Order, and everyone can go their separate ways. Otherwise, I'll take the Divine Bone Order without paying you a dime—and you might even lose your life because of it," Jiang Chen said with an unchanging expression.
The speed of the blood flowing across the Blood Ancestor's face quickened in response to Jiang Chen's attitude; he was visibly angered.
"Your arrogance is astounding. Do you really think our blood clan is easy to bully?" The Blood Ancestor's tone dropped to an ominous level.
"In my eyes, you are indeed quite easy to bully," Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile.
"You..." The Blood Ancestor's anger caused his Blood Qi to surge dramatically as he grew three meters taller, towering over Jiang Chen like a giant.
"Let me see your abilities," the Blood Ancestor said as he opened his mouth and unleashed a jet of Blood Qi.
Monroe was so frightened that she closed her eyes. After waiting for a moment and sensing nothing amiss, she opened her eyes again and saw Jiang Chen still standing there with his hands behind his back. A faint glow surrounded him, forming a protective shield that kept the Blood Qi at bay.
