Brower spread his arms wide, a surge of Blood Qi emanating from him. A pair of fleshy wings burst forth from his back, tearing through his clothing. The wings unfurled, measuring two meters in length, blood-red like those of a demon, exuding an ominous aura.
This Blood Clan Leader had many hidden cards; he would not easily back down. He soared into the sky, chanting incantations as the Blood Qi coalesced into a crimson cloud above. Hovering in midair, Brower looked down at Jiang Chen and coldly declared, "Kneel and apologize now, and I might spare you. Delay any longer, and I guarantee you'll die when you fall from this hundred-plus-story building. Even your Huaxia Martial Arts won't save you."
"Since you can fly too, let’s ascend to the clouds and fight without restraint," Jiang Chen replied with a smile. He tapped his Storage Jade Gourd, and the Sky Sword flew out, transforming from a one-inch blade into a three-foot-long sword. With a gentle leap, Jiang Chen mounted the Sky Sword and soared into the sky.
Brower was momentarily stunned; Jiang Chen could actually fly on a sword. Seeing him ascend higher, Brower's expression darkened as he resolved to follow suit. Enveloped in Blood Qi, he pursued Jiang Chen closely.
On the ground, Monroe looked up at the two gradually fading black dots, her mouth agape in disbelief. "He’s so powerful," she murmured. As she watched, her eyes sparkled with newfound admiration. Initially puzzled by Jiang Chen's reluctance to have children with her, she now understood—but her interest in him only intensified.
"Mr. Jiang is so young yet possesses such astonishing power; it shows how strong his bloodline is. If I could bear his child, how powerful that offspring would be," Monroe thought wistfully, her desire to have children with Jiang Chen growing stronger.
Suddenly, a shadow fell from the sky, growing larger until it landed right in front of Monroe. Brower crashed to the ground in a disheveled heap; fortunately for him, being of the blood clan meant he could withstand such a fall—otherwise, even ten lives wouldn't suffice.
Monroe was astonished; how could Brower have fallen so quickly? Was this formidable Blood Clan Leader truly so fragile? Or was Jiang Chen just too powerful?
Jiang Chen returned on his sword, stowing it away as he landed before Brower. "I overestimated you; you don’t even qualify for a fight with me. Now you have two choices: hand over the Divine Bone Order and live, or refuse and die," Jiang Chen stated calmly. He had misjudged the blood clan; their greatest ability seemed to be eternal youth while their combat prowess was no more than that of the Martial Arts Divine Realm—easily overwhelmed by him.
Brower spat blood as he rose from the cracked ground, his eyes bloodshot as he glared at Jiang Chen. Though filled with rage, there was an underlying fear in his gaze.
Jiang Chen was terrifying.
"Heh, if you want the Divine Bone Order, you're wasting your time with me. Although I am the Blood Clan Leader, our sacred artifacts are kept by our Ancestor. If you have what it takes, go ask our Ancestor for it," Brower said before coughing violently and spitting more blood.
"Then let’s go; take me to meet your Blood Ancestor," Jiang Chen replied coolly.
"You’re not afraid of death? Fine then, I’ll take you," Brower said with a cold smirk.
Jiang Chen's cultivation was indeed impressive—Brower felt inferior—but he knew that the strength of their Blood Ancestor would only surpass Jiang Chen's.
