Yu Songyu opened her eyes and stretched, realizing that she had unknowingly soaked in the Water Pool all night. She wondered if the water had any special properties, as she felt refreshed; her skin showed no signs of wrinkling from the prolonged immersion.
She changed into a black outfit and bought two bundles of Chrysanthemums before heading straight to the cemetery.
"I'm sorry, Uncle and Aunt. I didn't mean for you to suffer such an undeserved disaster."
Yu Songyu placed one of the Chrysanthemums in front of her parents' gravestone.
"I'm sorry, but I can't tell Xiao Jie about what happened yet. I'm afraid for her; she's being taken care of by Grandma and Grandpa. I will find the best doctor for her treatment, and I believe it won't be long before she can live normally again, just like before. Please rest assured!"
After saying these words, Yu Songyu held the other bundle of Chrysanthemums as she approached her parents' grave.
"Mom, how are you doing over there? When I was young, I didn't understand why you left me behind so cruelly, allowing me to endure so much ridicule and scorn over the years. But I don't hate you; you must have had your own reasons and struggles, right? You don't need to worry anymore; I've grown up now. I can take care of myself and live well. You can rest easy!"
As Yu Songyu spoke, she gently caressed her mother's smiling face on the gravestone. In the photo, her mother still looked so young and beautiful.
"Hey, old man, you were so foolishly filial that you often scolded and hit me when I was little. But I've forgiven you. Seriously, how could you be so useless? Others plotted against you, and you chose to jump off a building? Did you never suspect they might have been falsifying accounts? Don't you understand the saying about preserving your strength for future challenges? Forget it."
Yu Songyu sighed and continued speaking.
"I have some good news for you: Chen Dexing has gone mad, and his wife is now in a vegetative state. Their only daughter also met a bad end! I've also reclaimed my shares, but I'm planning to sell them all. If you can't even manage your own affairs, why should I take care of them for you? Besides, I know nothing about business management; it's better to exchange it for some cash."
"Alright, I'll come back to see you next time!"
Bending down, Yu Songyu placed the bouquet in front of their gravestone.
With this visit concluded, it was time for her to return to Era; after all, she couldn't keep using the excuse of visiting a friend's father forever.
Having gone through so much, she now found herself appreciating a simple yet fulfilling life. However, she disliked feeling like a guest in someone else's home—whether in modern times or in Era.
Being constrained in her actions was just one aspect; more importantly, living in someone else's house deprived her of a sense of belonging. As someone who lacked security, owning a house of her own was particularly important to her.

That day, Yu Songyu and Li Xiuzhen had just loaded their unsold goods onto an Ox Cart when Wang Xiuli and Zhang Cuiying suddenly ran over.
"Captain Yang, we also want to go to Ox Cart Town!"
Before Yang Qinghe could respond, Wang Jianjun spoke up first.
"Why should we look for Ox Cart in our village? Can't you see this cart is already full?"
Wang Jianjun had no fondness for Wang Xiuli, so he didn't hold back and shot back directly.
Yang Qinghe needed to handle matters in town and had already agreed to go with Yu Songyu and the others from Ox Cart.
Wang Jianjun, eager not to miss the chance to be with Yu Songyu, insisted on tagging along, no matter how persistent he had to be.
Seeing Wang Xiuli's distressed expression, Zhang Cuiying quickly stepped forward to help her out.
