"Xiao Yu, wake up, Xiao Yu!" 0

Yu Songyu slowly opened her eyes, feeling a sharp pain in the back of her neck. The dim and damp surroundings were filled with an unpleasant odor. She distinctly remembered that they had been in a hotel private room just moments ago. 0

"Xiao Yu, you’re finally awake!" 0

Jie's voice was laced with a noticeable tremor of tears. 0

Struggling to move, she inched closer to Yu Songyu and used her mouth to tear off the black tape covering her lips. 0

"Ouch!" 0

Ignoring the pain at the corner of her mouth, Yu Songyu opened her eyes wider and began to survey their surroundings. In the cramped space, besides the two of them, there were several unfamiliar girls, all tied up just like them. She could feel the swaying of their bodies and, with the faint light, realized they seemed to be packed into a large rectangular box. 0

Could it be a shipping container? 0

With Jie’s support, Yu Songyu managed to sit up straight. 0

"Xiao Yu, do you think we’re going to be sold?" 0

Jie was always timid and had little opinion of her own; right now, Yu Songyu was her entire world. 0

"Don’t be scared, Xiao Jie. Until the very end, there might still be a chance." 0

Inside, Yu Songyu felt just as anxious; she had no idea what awaited them. Would they be used as organ containers or sold as commodities for profit? 0

"What are we going to do, Xiao Yu? I’m really scared!" 0

Jie's sobs could no longer be contained, and soon the other girls around them began to cry as well. 0

Yu Songyu wanted to cry too, but she knew that tears wouldn’t solve anything. 0

"Xiao Jie, turn around and face away from me!" 0

Yu Songyu attempted to untie Jie's ropes. Although they couldn't escape for now, if an opportunity arose, they wouldn’t be completely helpless. After working together to free Jie from her bindings, they stood up to stretch their nearly stiff bodies and helped the other girls untie themselves one by one—except for Chen Luzhi. 0

Chen Luzhi no longer exhibited her previous arrogant demeanor; her eyes were filled with a near-pleading desperation. 0

"Would we have been caught if it weren't for you? Do you even have any shame left?" 0

Jie unleashed her pent-up grievances mixed with fury, wishing she could kill Chen Luzhi. They had been best friends since kindergarten; how could she be so cruel? 0

Yu Songyu felt that speaking further was a waste of her energy. She helped Jie re-tie the ropes, gently securing a knot for herself as well. After finishing, she advised Jie to close her eyes and conserve her strength. 0

Time passed, though they couldn't tell how long. The swaying finally ceased, and the back door of the container slowly opened, blinding sunlight pouring in. 0

They were escorted by several dark-skinned men into a small room. 0

Later that evening, the men returned, randomly selecting one girl from among them and forcing her to send a message to her family demanding money. 0

What they didn’t expect was that these beasts, worse than pigs and dogs, not only beat and electrocuted the girl but also brutally chopped off one of her hands, filming the entire act of violence and sending it through the girl's WeChat to her family. 0

All the girls, including Yu Songyu, witnessed this inhumane scene with their own eyes. They understood all too well that perhaps the next victim of such brutal abuse would be themselves. 0

Jie's face had turned ashen, devoid of color; her body trembled uncontrollably, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. 0
