Xu Lie understood that discussing Idealism Magic with Reiner was merely a waste of time, so he decided to shift the topic to the Evil Mage. "Actually, I know one Idealism Magic, and it's the only one I can use."
"Oh?" Reiner's interest was piqued immediately. No one had ever heard that Xu Lie could use Idealism Magic!
As perhaps the first person to learn this, Reiner's tone became quite enthusiastic. "I wonder if you would be willing to share, Xu Lie?"
Xu Lie took the opportunity to continue speaking. "It's somewhat embarrassing to admit. When I was young, I was determined to create a path for ordinary people to become magicians. Back then, my friends would often say that no one could predict the future."
So, as a child, I was curious about my future self and whether I would succeed.
After awakening my magical powers, I comprehended the Idealism Magic that allows one to foresee the future. From that, I envisioned myself standing before you all, inviting everyone to establish a school and promote the Meditation Method.
"Impressive," Reiner exclaimed sincerely. "In all this time, there have only been two skilled prophecy mages. Who would have thought that you are the hidden third?"
Moreover, you predicted your own success from such a young age. This is comparable to a Divine Miracle! The two Prophet Mages I know can only foresee events up to a month in advance.
Seeing Reiner getting excited, Xu Lie decided to play along and pretended to cast a spell, channeling his magical energy. He intentionally let the fluctuations of his magic be felt by Reiner: "I've only used this magic once."
Foreseeing the future sounds wonderful, but it is not absolute. If my younger self had seen my success and stopped working hard, perhaps this future would not exist.
Just as Reiner was about to agree with this viewpoint, he noticed Xu Lie's expression change dramatically as if he had seen something unsettling.
Instantly cautious, he asked, "Xu Lie! What did you see?"
Xu Lie's demeanor also grew serious. After performing so many acts, he had become adept at this: "I saw darkness."
He glimpsed into the not-so-distant future where the Evil Mage would replicate the Oath of the Covenant and use Covenant Magic to unite forces and launch a surprise attack on our Truth School.
As this warning was issued, before Reiner could respond, the audience erupted in chaos.
"We're doomed! They have full map visibility; how can we fight? The Evil Mage should surrender already!"
"Brother, just close it. It's pointless," said the Evil Mage.
"Isn't leaving it open the same as having it on?" Xu Lie replied.
This was ridiculous; it felt as if he had directly read the script of a production, even exposing the Evil Mage's deepest secret, Covenant Magic. Xu Lie quickly scanned through several messages urging him to disable the cheat.
He nearly burst out laughing. What was this? A player using cheats only to have the cheat itself pop up and say, "Though you have activated me, please turn me off"? This was some kind of cyber joke.
At that moment, Reiner couldn't care less about discussing Idealism Magic anymore. After two hours, the weight of Truth School and its students grew heavier in his mind.
"I'll go find a couple of Prophet Mages I know to help with some predictions," Xu Lie said. As for how Truth School would defend against this Evil Mage's attack, that was entirely up to their teacher's arrangements.
Should he notify all the recruiters from Feizhou? Perhaps they should stay outside for now and not bring back the third batch of students?
