In the Golden Sun King City, today marks the seventh day since the Truth Test Airship arrived in the skies above. Early that morning, many residents gathered at the city gates with their children, waiting for the test.
When the airship first appeared amidst thunderous roars, fear gripped the hearts of the people. However, as the days passed, their anxiety began to shift. The reason for this change was simple: the noble families in the inner city continuously urged their eligible children to participate in the test, emphasizing the importance of education. They also insisted that their children show utmost respect to the Magic Teachers and focus on their studies at the distant Truth School, warning them not to cause any trouble there.
These nobles were aware that if their children got into trouble far from home, they would be unable to assist them. Thus, they sought to educate their offspring to prioritize learning and avoid any mischief. After all, what nobles needed most were their servants.
While serving their masters, these servants were also adept at picking up on the information that the nobles let slip during their daily conversations. Seeing how seriously the nobles regarded this matter, the common folk felt compelled to pay attention as well. Upon returning home, they encouraged their own children to study diligently. This led to a ripple effect—one person would tell ten, and ten would tell a hundred.
By today, the area outside the city walls was packed with people. Even though noble families had dispatched private soldiers to clear a large space, it remained crowded with eager onlookers.

Before long, everyone was shouting as if witnessing a rare spectacle, unwilling to tear their eyes away. The airship descended slowly from the sky, resembling a leaf falling in autumn; despite its massive size, it floated down gracefully.
This sight only fueled the nobles' desire to master magic even more. They reiterated to their children that they must pay close attention in school and avoid any trouble.
As the airship touched down, its wooden base magically opened up to reveal a large entrance. At that moment, an Amplification Magic was activated, briefly explaining the testing process: participants simply needed to touch a detection crystal. If they were of appropriate age and resonated with it, they would be allowed aboard.
Such straightforward rules brought joy to the common folk while causing frowns among the nobles. The former were relieved by the simplicity of it all; at least they didn’t have to worry about unfair treatment for their children. The latter were less pleased; they simply did not want to share learning spaces with commoners, fearing it would diminish their own status.
However, there was no choice—if they wanted to learn magic, even reluctant noble children had no option but to step forward and take the test. With fifty magicians conducting tests simultaneously, efficiency soared. Those who resonated with the crystal cheered with excitement while those who did not were swiftly ejected by the magicians.
This was personally instructed by Xu Lie; they couldn't let the commotion from the students or parents delay the process. They wouldn't be recruiting only in the Jinri Kingdom; there were other kingdoms to visit as well. This time, Xu Lie was merely demonstrating, and the school would later dispatch more large-scale airships for quicker recruitment.
As for Xu Lie's people, they had approached King Jinri and various ministers. As the highest authorities of the kingdom, they were reluctant to mingle with the common folk, standing high atop the city walls and looking down on everything. Little did they know, while they were gazing down at others, they too were being observed by Xu Lie.
It wasn't until Xu Lie gradually lowered himself, slowly descending from the air onto the city wall, that these individuals finally realized what was happening. The nobles, lacking in emotional intelligence, shouted humorous remarks about assassins and protecting the king. Each person present was astute enough to recognize the disparity between them.
If the mages truly intended to assassinate the king or a minister, wouldn't it be simpler to strike them down with a bolt of lightning seven days prior? Why go through the trouble of flying right up to them before making an attempt? Thus, both the king and his ministers showed a degree of respect and performed a courtly gesture.
