I have arrived, the first.
Anthony and William ventured deep into the Military-Industrial Complex building, uncertain if they would find any crucial clues. They hoped to prevent a Nuclear Explosion.
Sighing, I felt a sense of sadness; I could already predict that Anthony would ultimately sacrifice himself, while the protagonist, William, would survive and grow from this experience.
Danmaku began to appear densely around them, yet it did nothing to deter Anthony and William, who were prepared to move.
William glanced at the once impeccably dressed Director Anthony, now resembling a vagabond, and couldn't help but comment, "Mr. Anthony."
Previously, while evading the pursuit of the Serpent, I had found an abandoned house that contained water, food, and some clothing.
Upon hearing this, Anthony shot William a strange look. If it weren't for the need to convince the audience, he would have rolled around in a garbage heap for effect; he was still accustomed to drinking and smoking with Charles in fine clothes.
He couldn't reveal this to William; the cameras might be rolling. Anthony calmly refused, "There's no need."
After all, they still needed to ambush two patrolling guards and change outfits. Going back to get clothes now would be a waste of time.
William had always respected Anthony, and that respect only deepened now.
Truly, Director Anthony was remarkable—not only had he shaken off the Serpent's pursuit, but he also had the presence of mind to extract vital information about Tactical Nuclear Weapons from Serpent members. He even managed to locate him amidst the chaos of the city.
He had to work twice as hard!
The two moved cautiously, avoiding surveillance cameras at street corners as they quickly approached the Military Building.
When they were just a few meters away from the building, Anthony tapped his communication device and sent out a pre-arranged signal.
In an instant, several teams of lurking members emerged from surrounding buildings, drawing their firearms and preparing to attack the complex.
General Joseph transferred command of all surviving Stealth Team units to Anthony.
This was used by Anthony to draw fire and divert attention, facilitating their infiltration.
The effect was outstanding; despite the relentless artillery fire in the outskirts, the Military Building had never been hit by a single shell.
Now it was being confronted directly by members of the Stealth Team—this was intolerable!
The professionals trained by the Military-Industrial Complex quickly retaliated.
Just looking at their weaponry, it was clear that both sides were not on the same level; their combat capabilities were worlds apart.
Backed by the Military-Industrial Complex, there were all kinds of weapons at their disposal, overwhelming firepower that kept the stealth team members from showing their faces.
As for the Stealth Team? They were only equipped with a handgun, and at most, could carry two grenades. Their firepower was pitifully inadequate.
However, the Stealth Team had its own advantages: they were scattered. Often, at any given location, there was only one team member, with several Stealth Teams spread out in all directions.
The Military-Industrial Complex could focus their fire on one point, two points, or even three points without concern. They had four, five, or even more positions around them to launch counterattacks.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Anthony hurriedly led William to avoid all Surveillance Cameras and sprinted toward the building!
They quickly reached the west side of the first floor of the building, pushed open an unlocked window, and smoothly climbed inside with an elegant grace.
William followed closely behind and landed inside, still somewhat incredulous: "Mr. Anthony, we... we just infiltrated like this? What if there are traps?"
