Lying around without doing anything, what meaning does being an actor have?
After pondering for nearly half an hour, Xu Lie cursed under his breath: "Only children make choices; I’ll carve my own path!"
Choose one or the other? What a joke! Since he didn’t like either of the two fixed paths in the script, he might as well stir things up and carve out a third path that belonged solely to him.
With this thought in mind, Xu Lie immediately checked the company’s marketplace to see how much a Bionic Person cost. His plan to stir things up required the help of a Bionic Person.
It’s worth noting that the Bionic Persons produced by the company were indistinguishable from real humans; they were lively and possessed intelligence. Whenever Xu Lie left the worlds of Not Allowed to Fall in Love and Cang Hai Jue, the company would create a Bionic Person resembling him for free, allowing it to stay in the Script World. This way, when Xu Lie wanted to return to those Script Worlds, there wouldn’t be any issues.
He could single-handedly take on the Black and White forces of the metropolis, buy some supernatural abilities from the company, and conquer a city all by himself. That would certainly entertain the audience, but such antics paled in comparison to the grand plan Xu Lie had in mind—what he was preparing this time would be even more shocking.
Xu Lie quickly found the price for a Bionic Person; it was somewhat expensive. They started at one hundred points, with no upper limit. The cheapest option at one hundred points allowed for complete customization of appearance, age, gender, height, and weight. The basic attributes could be boosted up to three times that of an average human.
The company even provided corresponding intelligence based on age and gender, ensuring that the Bionic Person would not encounter any problems when following Xu Lie into the Script World. There was no need to worry about ending up with a malfunctioning artificial intelligence.
Of course, this basic model of Bionic Person came without any special knowledge or skills; if he wanted those, he would need to pay extra. Just like when Xu Lie had previously spent two hundred points on a Bionic Person to remain in the world of Not Allowed to Fall in Love, purchasing Test Tube Technology for it so it could take his place in prison at the Biological Research Institute.
Not only that, but there was also a Character Background that required additional expenditure. He could choose not to spend that money; however, a Bionic Person bought without it would be considered an illegal resident upon entering the Black and White world.
This wasn’t particularly difficult; it just required some extra effort. Xu Lie would have to personally find gangs within the metropolis to buy fake identification for the necessary number of illegal residents so that they could live normally afterward.
Xu Lie contemplated for a moment and decided that four Bionic Persons would suffice—two high-end custom models and two of the cheapest variety.
During the initial face-sculpting session, Xu Lie was filled with enthusiasm. He experimented with various hairstyles, features, and even the minute detail of eyebrow spacing, striving to create an attractive visage. However, after half an hour without completing a single face, Xu Lie's patience wore thin. He opted to set the basic parameters: gender, and then let the company automatically generate the appearance.
Next came the acquisition of skills. The Shooting Skill was quite impressive; for just one hundred points, it would turn both Xu Lie and the Bionic Persons into sharpshooters. He purchased it without hesitation. The Melee Combat Skill was also appealing—practical and useful—so he bought that as well. Hacker Skills? Absolutely essential in a metropolis, so that was a purchase too. Tracking and Counter-Tracking Skills? He bought those as well.
After purchasing the character skills, he crafted a Character Background for both himself and the Bionic Persons, spending a total of a thousand points.
Looking at the remaining points, Xu Lie revealed a smug smile: "Still have this much left? Let’s get a Small Spaceship and two Tactical Nuclear Weapons." The Tactical Nuclear Weapons produced by the company were also affordable at just one hundred points each—a true bargain.
Even though the spaceship was small, it still came with a hefty price tag of two thousand points. Xu Lie paid without a hint of hesitation, effortlessly completing his transaction.
