The A Gang surged, each punch thrown with the force of a tiger, the sound of their strikes echoing in the air. Unfortunately, despite their strength capable of tearing apart tigers and leopards, if they couldn’t land a hit, it was all meaningless.
Chen Tao moved like a spirit in the wind, his dodges minimal yet always managing to evade by mere inches. This left the A Gang feeling frustrated; hitting nothing but air was more disheartening than striking a pillow.
As the A Gang increased their speed, their figures flickered and their strikes became even more rapid, like thunder rumbling in the distance. Chen Tao, aware of his surroundings, would only strike back when he truly could not evade any longer, intercepting the A Gang's punches before they reached their full power.
Their battle drew the attention of Xu Lie, who was sipping tea nearby. He found it far more entertaining than fishing.
“Brother, you know my Bai Nei Li,” he remarked. “It enhances my perception and agility. As long as you don’t exceed my line of sight, you’re just wasting your energy.”
After dodging several more times, Chen Tao, having a good relationship with A Gang, tried to reason with them. Little did he know that this only fueled the fire.
A Gang didn’t take his words to heart; instead, they grew even angrier and more aggressive. Initially, they only wanted to capture Chen Tao and throw him out as per their master’s orders. But now, all they wanted was to land just one punch on him—just one would suffice!
After unleashing over a hundred punches without hitting anything, A Gang gradually exhausted themselves and was finally stopped by Song Qiao.
Panting heavily, A Gang stepped back with an irritated expression. They despised opponents like Chen Tao who were as slippery as an eel. Their compatibility was terrible!
Song Qiao looked at Chen Tao with interest. “Kid, you’ve made quite a bit of progress lately.” The Cang Hai Jue had advanced significantly; even with just Internal Energy flowing through his limbs, he displayed remarkable skill—impressive indeed.
“Let’s see how well you’ve mastered your Internal Energy!” With that, Song Qiao moved like a falling leaf, his speed so peculiar that it was hard to judge.
Chen Tao clearly observed all of Song Qiao’s movements and prepared to dodge. However, he still felt a palm brush against his shoulder.
Startled, Chen Tao retreated sharply, disbelief evident in his eyes. While Song Qiao appeared to move at the speed of a leaf falling gently from a tree—something any child could catch—the reality was different. His movements were ghostly and deceptive; what seemed slow visually was actually fast in execution, leaving Chen Tao utterly perplexed.
Compared to Chen Tao's astonishment, Song Qiao was even more surprised. He was certain that his touch had already delivered his Neigong into Chen Tao's shoulder. To avoid the protective flow of Bai Nei Li, Song Qiao had deliberately divided his Neigong into four layers, stacking them one on top of the other to break through the defenses.
Yet, these four layers of Neigong seemed to vanish into thin air, without a trace, as if swallowed by the sea, showing no reaction whatsoever!
What a remarkable fellow; Chen Tao had actually cultivated his Internal Energy to this level. Song Qiao focused intently, refusing to be careless any longer. He had to admit that Chen Tao's growth was somewhat beyond his expectations.
Chen Tao sighed and assumed a stance: Thanks to His Highness's blessings.
While teaching Sailors at the Kaihai Division, I revisited old lessons and gained a deeper understanding of Cang Hai Jue. I also personally accompanied the ship on its voyage at sea, witnessing the true essence of Cang Hai. Regardless of how the world may change, in terms of Cang Hai, it is merely a fleeting moment, thus leading to my insights.
Song Qiao, who specialized in Internal Energy, understood Chen Tao's comprehension: Is it like this? To embody the sea and dissolve others' Internal Energy?
No matter what kind of Internal Energy is used against you, it is merely a grain of Cang Hai, insignificant in comparison: you have truly grasped the essence of Cang Hai.
Not only was Xu Lie captivated by the scene, but the audience was also thrilled. Danmaku flew one after another as Xu Lie kept an eye on both the live action and the Danmaku display. His eyes were nearly overwhelmed with excitement.
