"Boss! Is that the court's ship?! If we manage to seize it, we'll be rich!"
On one of the dozen ships, a young pirate wearing a cardigan vest gazed greedily at the three Giant Ships ahead, showing no signs of fear. Shui Laohu also felt his mouth water at the sight of the three massive vessels.
From his nickname, it was clear that he was exceptionally ruthless; very few survived after encountering his raids on merchant ships, earning him a notorious reputation over time.
Despite his greed, Shui Laohu remained rational: "Don’t get carried away! We definitely can’t just charge in; let the Second-in-command prepare for action. When we get closer, we’ll sink their ship."
He reminded the crew member steering the ship to be careful and not to crash into anything. The three Giant Ships were true behemoths of the sea; if they collided head-on, Shui Laohu was certain there would be no escape for him—only death awaited.
Some of the more cautious pirates voiced their concerns: "Boss, this might be too much. Are we really going to attack?"
Shui Laohu shot a disdainful glance at this subordinate, instantly deeming him unfit for leadership: "What are you panicking for?! No matter how big the ship is, someone has to steer it! The Noble Person said that all those sailors up there are just landlubbers! None of them can swim; they’re probably lying down seasick right now! As long as we’re careful not to get hit, no matter how big it is, it can still sink!"
In truth, Shui Laohu hadn’t shared with his men that the Noble Person had not only revealed the sailors' weaknesses but had also given him a million taels as an expense fund. There was no need to announce such things; enjoying the spoils alone was far more satisfying.

The Sailors seemed to have picked up on the pirates' intentions as well. Instead of shooting arrows from a distance, they strangely allowed the pirate ships to approach their hulls without resistance.
Wu Qianchuan sneered as he watched the pirate ships below, observing the empty decks as if he were looking at some timid turtles hiding away. Hiding? Did they really think they could escape?
