The Eighth Episode has finally arrived!
After waiting for seven long days, I could almost curse the production team for leaving us hanging at such a crucial moment! I remember the last episode ended with Xu Lie saying he didn't want to cause a stampede, and then it just cut off. It really frustrated me. According to Xu Lie, he could have successfully escaped this pursuit if he had incited panic among the people, but he chose not to. Sigh, Xu Lie truly harbors a sense of justice in his heart.
As the Eighth Episode begins, the scene is not set in front of the General Hospital outpatient building. Instead, we see a young Xu Lie during his childhood. To be more precise, it’s a version of Xu Lie that resembles a lifeless doll.
This little child, who should be innocent and adorable, has eyes that are dull and lifeless, as if he were a high-tech simulation. There’s not a hint of vitality about him.
What is this? Is this still the same show? This child looks more and more like the Male Second Lead!
It’s normal; it’s just a flashback. They probably want to show us how young Xu Lie became who he is now.
I’ve always thought children were cute, but to be honest, seeing childhood Xu Lie is somewhat unsettling.
In the scene, young Xu Lie is in an empty, messy room lighting incense. Aside from the clean altar, the floor is littered with chaos. The camera even zooms in on a framed photo of a deceased sister who looks very gentle.
The audience knows all too well that this is Xu Lie's sister and the source of his desire for revenge. Afterward, we see Xu Lie spending all his time at home—either reading or self-studying on the computer.
Occasionally, we hear off-screen sounds of other children joyfully playing and laughing, creating a stark contrast with Xu Lie’s solitary and diligent self-study, evoking a strange sense of disconnection.
It feels like two children from entirely different worlds.
The camera occasionally focuses on some of his study materials, clearly showing the audience that Xu Lie is self-learning subjects like mathematics, demolition techniques, electronics, and even biology. Eventually, he makes online purchases for large quantities of electronic components to assemble various machines.
In the end, Xu Lie, who had grown increasingly, finally completed a work he was most proud of—a super Mini Robot.

From the audience's perspective, it was evident that every day after school, Xu Lie would take a longer route, passing by the Gene Building that was destined to explode in the future. He secretly released his Miniature Robot to infiltrate and scout the specific architectural structure, laying a solid foundation for future actions.
This earned him waves of praise from Danmaku, who commended his strategic thinking and restraint.
Huh? Watching the bustling discussions from Danmaku and facing off against the Plainclothes Team, Xu Lie appeared calm on the surface, not revealing any flaws, while internally he felt utterly confused.
