Regret consumed her as she thought to herself that if she had known, she wouldn’t have been so greedy for a little extra money. Money wasn’t easy to come by! There was definitely something wrong!
She cursed the gentle and passionate version of herself from just an hour ago.
Xu Lie glanced at the elevator, which had already descended from one floor to another. Time was tight, and there was no room for hesitation. “I command you to move, or I’ll shoot.”
As he spoke, he pulled out his phone and opened the QR code. Under the threat of the gun, despite her trembling arms, the nurse had no choice but to take out her phone and obediently scan the code to add him as a friend.
At that moment, the elevator doors reached the first floor and would open in just a few seconds.
Xu Lie holstered his weapon. “Good. Now step outside and head toward the Inpatient Building. I’ll be watching you from behind.”
