The Old Celestial Master pinched a flower petal and crushed it with force. He glanced at Kanao Tsuyuri's back and stroked his beard. This move should have been aimed at the group, and its power should have been greater—did he hold back?
As he stepped out of the arena, he noticed Kei Yunqing and the others were already waiting for Kanao Tsuyuri. Unlike Kanao Tsuyuri's methodical approach of gradually overwhelming the entire area, Shinobu Kocho's fighting style was quick and straightforward. With unparalleled speed, she incapacitated three opponents effortlessly before leaving them in a daze.
After regrouping with Kei Yunqing and the others, they waited by the entrance for Kanao Tsuyuri. When she finally emerged, Shinobu Kocho rushed over and hugged Kanao Tsuyuri's arm.
"You were a bit slow!" she exclaimed.
Kanao Tsuyuri smiled. "As long as it's done, it doesn't matter how slow or fast."
"That's true, and you did it beautifully. Well done, Kanao," Kei Yunqing said with a grin.
Hearing Kei Yunqing's praise, Kanao Tsuyuri approached him. "Did I do well? Is there a reward?"
"Of course," Kei Yunqing replied playfully, nudging her lightly.
Kanao Tsuyuri, feeling shy yet eager for the reward, hugged Kei Yunqing's arm tightly and buried her head in his embrace.
At that moment, the Old Celestial Master also stepped out. "Haha! The Yunqing Sect truly is a group of remarkable talents!" he exclaimed.
Kei Yunqing and the others turned to look at the Old Celestial Master.
"Wherever you go, it's just a few tricks," said Kei Yunqing, and Old Celestial Master merely smiled in response.
A bunch of powerful techniques referred to as mere tricks? Kong Yunqing was truly humble; even such methods could only be called small tricks.
Kei Yunqing could tell what Old Celestial Master was thinking but chose not to say anything. Old Celestial Master led a few people toward the stage.
They were the last to finish the competition, while those who had completed their matches earlier had already returned.
As Old Celestial Master stepped onto the stage, he took out the drawing box. With the competition concluded, thirty-three winners emerged.
The next round would begin shortly, and they would start drawing lots. The names written on the white slips of paper would indicate your opponents for the next match.
Since there was an extra participant, one slip would be blank, indicating a bye. If that slip was drawn again, everyone would have to redraw.
After Old Celestial Master finished speaking, people in the audience began to line up. One by one, they approached in an orderly fashion to draw their slips.
Sera and her companions were among the last to draw. When they opened their slips together, they saw: Jiang Jiang and Wu Xinqi.
"Wow, Sister Lilu Lu drew a blank! She gets a bye!" Shinobu Kocho remarked as she looked at Sera's blank slip of paper.
Her voice was neither too loud nor too soft, yet it caught the attention of others nearby. When they saw it was from Yunqing Sect, they all breathed a sigh of relief.
The Yunqing Sect was now universally recognized as an extraordinary force, and it was best to avoid encounters with them whenever possible. For everyone, the absence of the Yunqing Sect members was a welcome relief.
Kei Yunqing approached the four girls. "Have you finished? Let's head home and come back in the morning."
"Okay!"
The departure of the Yunqing Sect members went unnoticed by others. Even without the guidance of the Tiger Mountain warriors, they could easily find their way back to their accommodations. However, it did catch the attention of the Old Celestial Master, who followed at a distance, watching as Kei Yunqing and her companions left.
Kei Yunqing glanced back at the Old Celestial Master, waved her hand in greeting, and then the group vanished from sight. The Old Celestial Master, aware that he would be noticed, was not surprised. He smiled and waved back, lost in thought as he watched their figures disappear. Despite having seen it several times before, he still found it remarkable.
Once home, Kei Yunqing led the Several Girls to the dining table for a meal. They hadn’t eaten all day, so it was time for a hearty feast. After all, it was important to refuel before tackling any tasks.
Kei Yunqing watched with a smile as the Several Girls ate, among them was Anqi, the Merman Prince. It was Anqi's first experience with human food, and she seemed to enjoy it immensely.
"Go ahead and eat more; you never know when you might need extra energy," Kei Yunqing encouraged.
Hearing her words made the Several Girls blush slightly; they didn’t respond verbally but silently took more food.
After finishing their meal, Kei Yunqing instructed Sera and the others to take Anqi for a bath. Although bathing together took a bit longer, it saved time overall. When they all emerged from the bathroom, Anqi’s skin glowed a rosy white, and her expression resembled someone who had been thoroughly pampered.
Kei Yunqing looked at the Several Girls with surprise. The girls felt shy under her gaze and hurriedly ushered Anqi into the bedroom.
By the time Kei Yunqing entered the bedroom, the Several Girls were already engrossed in a game. She joined them and even utilized the Awei Eighteen Styles technique that she had used previously with Tian Kan and Feng Baobao for burying opponents.
