After a while, Ma Yi and Zhi Ye woke up.
Looking around, they realized they were in the bathroom, and what a large bathtub it was!
Glancing down at their bodies, they noticed they were indeed not wearing any clothes while soaking in the water.
On a bench beside the bathtub, they saw some clothes laid out. Ma Yi dried herself off and put on her clothes.
When Zhi Ye first woke up, she was quite alert, but feeling the warm water made her a bit drowsy again, and she lay back down.
Ma Yi got dressed and noticed that Zhi Ye was missing from her side. She looked into the bathtub and saw Zhi Ye lying at the bottom.
Quickly, Ma Yi pulled Zhi Ye up and patted her face.
“Zhi Ye! Wake up!”
“Huh?”
Zhi Ye rubbed her eyes and saw Ma Yi patting her, letting out a yawn.
“What’s wrong?” Zhi Ye still felt a bit sleepy.
“You were lying at the bottom of the bathtub! You almost drowned! Get dressed; we need to go out. I don’t even know how long we’ve been here.”
As Ma Yi spoke, she dried Zhi Ye off.
Zhi Ye was treated like a doll as Ma Yi moved her around.
After drying her off, Ma Yi handed Zhi Ye her clothes; she couldn’t help her get dressed.
Feeling more awake now, Zhi Ye quickly put on her clothes.
Ma Yi took Zhi Ye’s hand and led her outside.
When they reached the living room, they saw Li Yunqing sitting on the sofa with Sera and Lilu Lu, watching TV while holding them in her arms.
“Awake? I’ll get you something to eat,” Li Yunqing said as they just woke up.
She stood up and set some dishes on the dining table that both Sera and Lilu Lu would find appetizing.
With a wave of her hand, a table full of steaming hot delicacies appeared before them.
Even though they were accustomed to Li Yunqing's magical abilities, they were still amazed by this scene before them.
After sitting down, Ma Yi looked at Sera and Lilu Lu. Aren't they going to eat? I had already eaten with them, and it was nearly eight-thirty in the evening now.
So late? Ma Yi glanced out the window; it was already dark outside. However, there were no sounds of insects, mainly because Li Yunqing had cast a soundproofing spell, preventing any noise from entering or leaving the room. Regarding the taste, due to the recent attack by the ghost, Li Yunqing had also put up relevant magic.
Ma Yi kept observing her surroundings and didn’t pay much attention to the dishes. She wasn’t particularly hungry; even though the food was all her favorite Chinese cuisine, she had eaten many high-end dishes before and wasn’t feeling too tempted.
Zhi Ye was different. Coming from an ordinary family, she didn’t have much experience with high-end cuisine and hadn’t eaten much of it. Since Li Yunqing brought out the dishes earlier, she had been staring at them intently.
However, Ma Yi didn’t make a move, and neither did Zhi Ye. Her big eyes darted between several dishes, then glanced at Ma Yi, who showed no interest in eating, and then quietly looked at Li Yunqing, who was smiling and chatting with Ma Yi.
Li Yunqing naturally noticed Zhi Ye's actions and picked up a piece of Sweet and Sour Ribs for her. "Go ahead and eat," he encouraged. Ma Yi often ate these kinds of dishes, so she didn’t have much appetite. "If you want to eat, just go ahead," he added.
Zhi Ye picked up a rib from her bowl and began to gnaw on it with great enthusiasm. After all, Li Yunqing had served it to her first; she wasn’t being rude!
Ma Yi also noticed Zhi Ye’s actions and then picked up some food to eat herself. "If you want to eat, just eat," she said. "I usually eat a lot anyway, and I need to watch my diet to lose weight, so you don’t have to worry about me."
Ma Yi understood that Zhi Ye wanted to share the meal together but continued talking with Li Yunqing instead.
"Mhm!" Zhi Ye nodded in agreement with her mouth full.
