Wang Zu looked at Li Yunqing with a strange expression. "You know I'm feeling bad, yet you want me to bask in the sun?"
Li Yunqing understood the meaning behind Wang Zu's gaze. "Don't look at me like that. You only have a month's worth of essence inside you. Without the daily essence, it's hard to evolve further. Once you evolve, you'll be able to control this domain."
This domain referred to the Withering Domain.
Wang Zu glanced at the barren ground beneath his feet. "Then I'll soak up some sunlight."
It was this domain that prevented him from moving freely. He liked to roam around, and although he was no longer human, he had once been one; after all, humans were social creatures.
Li Yunqing nodded at Wang Zu's words. "Can you fight? How about we have a spar?"
"You?"
Wang Zu sized up Li Yunqing, noting his slender arms and legs. Although he didn't know how Li Yunqing had entered this place, he doubted he could be a match for him.
Seeing the look on Wang Zu's face, Li Yunqing understood that he didn't trust him. Without saying anything further, he threw a punch at Wang Zu.
Wang Zu felt a tremendous force strike his chest, sending his body flying backward. It took him a moment to regain his senses as he flew through the air for several dozen meters before finally landing on his feet, leaving two deep marks in the ground.
He touched his chest and found that his shirt was torn, revealing a deep bruise where Li Yunqing had hit him—an imprint of a fist about an inch deep.
Five seconds later, the punch mark disappeared.
Wang Zu smiled at Li Yunqing. "You're quite strong! Let me enjoy this."
With a glint of red light in his eyes, Wang Zu gathered his strength and charged toward Li Yunqing.
The distance of several dozen meters closed in the blink of an eye as he threw a punch aimed at Li Yunqing's face.
Li Yunqing didn't use any enhancements; he relied solely on his physical abilities to confront Wang Zu.
Thanks to Jian Ji Gu's influence, his dynamic vision had reached an indescribable height. He could see every movement Wang Zu made clearly, even deciphering the thoughts forming in Wang Zu's mind.
"Is this really all you've got?" Li Yunqing thought, catching Wang Zu's punch and using his momentum to throw him to the ground. The moment Wang Zu hit the floor, the ground within a five-meter radius shattered into pieces.
Li Yunqing jumped back, observing the chaos. "Haven't you ever fought before? Is this how you throw a punch?"
Wang Zu slowly crawled out from the debris, rubbing his shoulder. His clothes were in tatters, but he wore a crazed smile as he looked at Li Yunqing. "I’ve never fought! People are just too weak! Those who practice martial arts are only slightly stronger; I can knock them away with one punch. But you... you're something else!"
As he spoke, Wang Zu charged at Li Yunqing again, throwing another punch aimed at his face while his other hand was poised at his waist, ready to strike.
Li Yunqing saw through Wang Zu's attack instantly. With a swift kick, he struck Wang Zu in the face. Before Wang Zu could unleash his punch from his waist, he was sent flying again, crashing to the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Your moves are like a child's! You might get by against someone weaker than you, but against someone like me—someone stronger—you have no chance."
While Li Yunqing was still speaking, Wang Zu burst through the dust cloud. "Stop talking!"
Wang Zu launched another right punch, carefully watching Li Yunqing's movements. As soon as he noticed Li Yunqing's right hand slightly raise, he unleashed his left fist from his waist.
Li Yunqing dodged the right punch and grabbed Wang Zu's left fist, pulling it back before delivering a knee strike. Releasing his grip on Wang Zu's fist sent him flying once more.
This time, however, Wang Zu managed to land on his feet instead of crashing down. He clutched his abdomen, which had sunk in from the impact, and glared at Li Yunqing.
"Keep going!" Wang Zu shouted as he charged at Li Yunqing once more.
Li Yunqing smiled. "Alright then, let's consider this a warm-up."
