Gu Qingqing was sitting in the second-to-last row, whispering something to her desk. Li Yunqing tossed a jade pendant aside and left the classroom.
Gu Qingqing seemed to sense something and looked out the window, but saw nothing. It felt so familiar.
She glanced around the university again; the morning classes were packed, and Wan Hong was sitting in the front row, attentively listening to the lecture. Li Yunqing didn’t pay much attention and dropped another jade pendant. Wan Hong looked towards the door, feeling as if Yun Qing Brother was watching her.
Li Yunqing flashed to the back of the room; this was an educational institution. Shen Xin, although involved in research, had completed most of her projects and was now looking for a job at an external educational organization. She was currently in her office preparing lesson plans.
After watching for a while, Li Yunqing also dropped a jade pendant and left. Shen Xin had a lingering feeling that someone familiar was watching her from behind, but she didn’t dare to look back. The person was by the window; she was on the third floor—who could see her?
She felt warm all over, and when she turned her head, the gaze had vanished. There was nothing there. Still, Shen Xin smiled, not knowing why she felt like smiling.
After wandering around with nothing much to do, Li Yunqing entered the world of Demon Slayer. She glanced at her phone left in the living room; it was almost noon—shouldn’t they be arriving soon?
Li Yunqing began to set out the dishes. The training had been tough, so she prepared plenty of meat—big pig trotters and pork knuckles were all ready. After everything was set up, it wasn’t long before she heard the sound of a door opening.
“We're here!”
Sera opened the door and cheerfully called out as she stepped inside. She changed her shoes and walked further in, with Lilu Lu following closely behind, gently closing the door.
Li Yunqing smiled at the two girls. "You must be hungry; come over for dinner."
"We're starving! Today we were just practicing our swings! I’ve been swinging so much that my arms feel sore," Sera replied.
Li Yunqing walked behind them and playfully squeezed their shoulders, causing both girls to grimace slightly from the discomfort. "It's not too serious; just rest a bit after dinner."
"Mm-hmm!"
Li Yunqing glanced at the two girls who were focused on their meal and smiled. Looking outside, he wondered if Urin Taki was eating alone. "You guys eat first; I’ll go call Urin Taki to join us."
"Huh? Okay, okay." Sera and Lilu Lu exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. "It’s a bit sad for a lonely person to eat alone; let’s invite him."
Li Yunqing approached Taki Sakonji's door, which was ajar. He knocked lightly and peered inside.
"Oh, it's you. What do you want?" Taki Sakonji asked, sitting cross-legged at a small table with his meal.
"I'm here to invite Urin Taki to eat with us."
"No need for that. Although I'm old, I can take care of myself," Taki Sakonji replied quietly, continuing to eat.
Li Yunqing chuckled softly. "Eating alone can't compare to enjoying a meal with others. Your two disciples would certainly appreciate the chance to show their gratitude."
Sera and Lilu Lu are two kind-hearted children. Taki Sakonji remained unmoved.
"If you don't go, they might feel sad," Li Yunqing remarked as she started to walk away, calling for Sera and Lilu Lu.
"Urin Taki! Come eat with us! You're just a lonely old man with no one to keep you company. Once we finish our studies here, we'll be gone, and then who will be around to keep you company?"
"That's right, Urin Taki! Let's eat together while we're still studying at Narrow Mist Mountain. Once we leave, you won't see us often."
Sera and Lilu Lu sat across from Taki Sakonji at the small table, speaking earnestly to him. Taki Sakonji paused for a moment, looking at them seriously before nodding slightly.
Sera and Lilu Lu hugged each other joyfully. "Great! Let's go! Even though there's floor heating, it gets cold quickly!"
"Let's go," they said, each taking hold of Li Yunqing's hand as they walked ahead. Taki Sakonji tucked his hands into his sleeves, watching the three of them in front of him.
How kind they are!
