The sky was fully bright, and Sera and Lilu Lu had also gotten up. Kei Yunqing prepared breakfast for them, and after they finished eating, they went to wash up.
Once the three of them were done, they stepped outside. The sun was shining brightly! It was perfect for going out to play! Sera looked at the weather outside; the sun was shining on the snow, making it glisten. She grabbed some snow from the ground, rolled it into a ball, and threw it in one direction.
With a whoosh, the snowball quickly disappeared.
"Got it!" Sera exclaimed, shielding her eyes with her hand as she looked.
Hearing Sera's words, Kei Yunqing turned to look. The snowball had hit a pure white cat that was a bit far away. Since the snowball wasn't packed too tightly and lacked force, the white cat simply ran off after being hit.
Shaking his head, Kei Yunqing glanced back at Tanjirou's family, where Tanjirou and Nezuko were waving goodbye to their family members. Where were they going? Kei Yunqing watched them with some confusion. They weren't heading to the Demon Slayer Corps, were they?
Actually, Kei Yunqing guessed correctly. Earlier in the morning, Tengen Uzui had come up to the mountain after checking on the town below to see if these families living further away were okay. He arrived at Tanjirou's family and discovered through conversation that Tanjirou had a special sense of smell similar to his master, Sakonji Taki.
So he talked to him, hoping to encourage him to join the Demon Slayer Corps for further development. Tanjirou had already heard from an uncle down the mountain that there were demons; he could sense that Tengen Uzui was not lying, which made him believe what he said.
After discussing it with his family, they supported his decision to venture out and even suggested he take Nezuko along. Nezuko was attentive and could take care of him while they were outside.
After their conversation, Tanjirou and Nezuko informed Tengen Uzui of their decision. Tengen Uzui glanced at Nezuko but remained silent, simply nodding in acknowledgment.
After telling Tanjirou the address, he wrote a letter to Taki Sakonji at Tanjirou's Family and then left, as he had many places to patrol in hopes of finding that powerful demon. Thus, Tanjirou and Nezuko bid farewell to their family and headed towards Narrow Mist Mountain.
Tanjirou and Nezuko left so easily without worrying about how their family would manage without the two little adults. Tengen Uzui knew that Tanjirou had talent and would surely pass the Demon Slayer Corps test, so he agreed to leave some money for his family. Tanjirou would repay him after passing the Demon Slayer Corps.
The resources of the Demon Slayer Corps were substantial. Kei Yunqing watched as Tanjirou and Nezuko walked down the mountain, not bothering to intervene. He glanced at Sera and Lilu Lu, who were still playing, and smiled.
"Alright, little ones, let’s go explore this world."
Sera and Lilu Lu ran over to Kei Yunqing and hugged his arm. Kei Yunqing spread his Spiritual Power and instantly teleported to a place where it wasn’t snowing. In a flash, the three figures disappeared from their original spot.
Sera and Lilu Lu felt a blur before they found themselves in a fragrant place filled with birdsong and flowers. "I only know a few famous places; I don’t have a map for the rest," Kei Yunqing thought.
It wasn’t snowing here, and there were so many flowers! Sera pulled Lilu Lu along to pick flowers. She picked an orange flower and placed it on her head, looking towards Kei Yunqing.
"Do I look pretty?"
"Yes, Sera looks beautiful no matter what."
"Thank you!" Sera beamed at Kei Yunqing's compliment.
Lilu Lu glanced at the flower on her sister's head and picked a purple-white flower for herself, placing it in her hair as she turned to look at Kei Yunqing. He was also watching Lilu Lu, and when he saw her looking at him, he smiled and spoke.
"Beautiful! Lilu Lu is also beautiful," Lilu Lu said with a smile.
"Thank you!"
Lilu Lu began to pick some flowers again, crafting a colorful flower crown for Kei Yunqing. Once she finished, she excitedly ran up to Kei Yunqing. As Kei Yunqing reached out to take the crown, Lilu Lu dodged his hand.
"I want to put it on you myself!"
"Alright!"
Kei Yunqing lowered his head slightly, and Lilu Lu carefully placed the flower crown on him. She then patted Kei Yunqing, signaling him to get up.
