Several hours passed, and it was almost dark when the two girls finally woke up. Sera and Lilu Lu sat up and stretched, feeling refreshed after their short nap, filled with an energy that seemed endless.
Looking around their bedroom, they found it empty. They pushed open the door and walked into the living room, but there was no one there either, so they headed to the balcony.
Li Yunqing sensed someone approaching from behind and realized it was Sera and Lilu Lu waking up. Noticing their stealthy movements, he guessed they intended to surprise him. With a light chuckle, Li Yunqing pretended not to notice them coming closer.
Sera and Lilu Lu crept up behind Li Yunqing and each covered one of his eyes. "Guess who I am?"
"We're your two adorable little treasures!"
Li Yunqing grabbed their hands, and before they knew it, they were in his embrace.
Sera looked curiously at Li Yunqing. "How did you know it was us?"
"Guess!"
"I won't guess!"
Li Yunqing ruffled Sera's hair. "You'll find out soon enough. I placed some gear in your Royal Ring; take a look. Also, there are a bunch of books in the bedroom that you should have seen—make sure to study them."
Li Yunqing continued to focus on his magic book.
Hearing Li Yunqing's words, Sera and Lilu Lu settled onto the sofa in the living room to check out the contents of the Royal Ring.
There were some clothes that emitted energy fluctuations, likely enchanted by someone! There was also a metal block that seemed like something used by good guys to catch bad guys on TV.
They found various knives and swords, as well as several books. The bottles and jars must be potions, right?
The two girls took stock of the items in the Royal Ring; it felt like a large warehouse filled with treasures.
After a rough cleanup, they turned their attention to several piles of Skill Books nearby. There were stacks on both sides of the bedroom, and comparing them, Sera and Lilu Lu found that both sides were the same.
The two girls grabbed the Skill Books and began to slap them on their heads, making a rhythmic sound. When a Skill Book was used, it didn’t disappear immediately but turned into powder that gradually dissipated. They were using them so quickly that while one hadn’t completely vanished, the next one would already turn to dust.
Soon, there was a large pile of glowing powder on the ground. Li Yunqing felt a lot of the powder drifting away from him and glanced toward the living room. He saw the two girls enthusiastically slapping the Skill Books on their heads and hurried over. Raising his hand, he cast a clarity spell on them.
The Skill Books directly poured knowledge into one’s mind, and if one’s brain wasn’t up to par, it could lead to a meltdown. In comparison, the Skill Books had some similarities with Jian Ji Gu, though the knowledge contained in the Skill Books was not as extensive.
Sera and Lilu Lu felt their minds clear up instantly and touched their heads in surprise. “Huh? My head feels so itchy?” They glanced at the balcony where Li Yunqing had already sat back down. Without further thought, the two girls continued to slap the Skill Books.
Although there were several piles of Skill Books, each book was only about an inch thick, so altogether there were just over a thousand books. They quickly finished using them all. The two girls leaned back against the sofa with their eyes closed, organizing the skills they had just acquired. Thanks to Li Yunqing’s clarity spell, they sorted through everything at an impressive speed.
Before long, they had completed their organization. Then Sera and Lilu Lu excitedly headed to the balcony to find Li Yunqing.
“We’re done learning!”
“Great! Let’s eat first; we haven’t had lunch or dinner yet.”
“Okay!”
The three of them then made their way to the dining table. Li Yunqing had taken a break from reading magic books in the afternoon and decided to check on food as well.
The table was filled with dishes from the National Feast, along with creations from Foreign Master Chefs—there was truly an abundance of options.
Though the two women didn't feel particularly hungry, they couldn't help but swallow hard at the sight of the beautifully presented dishes that tantalized the senses.
"Go ahead and eat; the energy in your bodies may keep you from feeling hungry, but if you want to eat, then eat!"
"I’m starting now!"
Li Yunqing watched as the two women indulged in their meals while he simply sipped on a cup of coffee brewed by an unknown master.
It wasn't that he wasn't hungry; he just wanted to wait until later in the afternoon to sample some dishes himself. He still had a discerning palate when it came to culinary evaluations.
