"Master, to Shu Xiang Yuan."
The driver turned the car around and headed towards Shu Xiang Yuan. In the backseat of the taxi, Kei Yunqing sat in the middle, feeling a bit cramped with beautiful women on either side. He leaned back against the seat. Shen Xin and Gu Qingqing each held one of Kei Yunqing's arms. Noticing that he had reclined, Shen Xin thought for a moment.
"Kei Yunqing, I feel a bit dizzy too."
Kei Yunqing turned his head to glance at Shen Xin, his eyes slightly narrowed as he observed her looking somewhat unwell.
"Then lean on me for a while."
Shen Xin smiled and rested her head on Kei Yunqing's shoulder, shifting closer to him. Gu Qingqing immediately noticed that Shen Xin was pretending to be carsick and leaned on Kei Yunqing's shoulder as well.
"Yun Qing Brother, I'm dizzy too; I want to lean on your shoulder."
Kei Yunqing readily agreed to Gu Qingqing's request; it didn't seem like a big deal. The car fell silent, with only the sound of the air conditioning and the subtle vibrations of the vehicle as it moved. Both women rested their heads on Kei Yunqing's shoulder, closing their eyes as if they had fallen asleep. Kei Yunqing stared blankly ahead, lost in thought.
The driver occasionally glanced at the rearview mirror, seemingly impressed by Kei Yunqing's charm, but Kei Yunqing remained oblivious to the driver's gaze. Even if he had seen it through the mirror, he wouldn't have paid it any mind.
After another ten minutes or so, the driver spoke up.
"We're almost at Shu Xiang Yuan."
"Mm."
Kei Yunqing replied softly and shook Gu Qingqing gently. She sat up and looked out the window, confirming that they were indeed nearing their destination. The taxi came to a stop.
They arrived.
The driver glanced at the back seat, then rolled down the window, leaning out slightly to light a cigarette.
Gu Qingqing opened the car door but didn’t rush to get out. Instead, she turned her head, smiled at Kei Yunqing, and said, “Li Yunqing, goodbye.”
Then, taking advantage of Kei Yunqing’s momentary distraction, she hugged Kei Yunqing's head and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before dashing out of the taxi. She turned around while laughing and walked backward, looking at Kei Yunqing in the car.
Kei Yunqing touched her face and smiled.
This girl...
Kei Yunqing waved at Gu Qingqing, who seemed to notice and waved back before heading toward Shu Xiang Yuan. The security guard must have recognized Gu Qingqing because he immediately opened the gate for her.
Kei Yunqing closed the car door and turned around, only to find Shen Xin staring at him.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. Gu Qingqing just kissed you goodbye and didn’t mention me at all,” Shen Xin said with a smile.
Kei Yunqing touched her face and chuckled. “You know how kids are; their hearts are just that small.”
As she spoke, she glanced at the driver, who had smoked half a cigarette, then looked back at Shen Xin. “Sister Shen Xin, where are we going next?”
Shen Xin thought for a moment. “Let’s go to the university town. I don’t live on campus; I have a place outside of it.”
“Oh, I see.” Kei Yunqing nodded.
At that moment, the driver finished his cigarette and waved his hand as if trying to disperse the smoke. “So we’re heading to the university town, right?”
The driver said nothing unnecessary and directly started the car, heading towards the university town.
Shen Xin still held onto Kei Yunqing's arm, leaning against his shoulder. Kei Yunqing stared out the window, watching the scenery retreat rapidly.
After another ten minutes, they arrived at the university town.
"We're here. Where do you want to go?" the driver asked as he slowed down the car.
Kei Yunqing turned to look at Shen Xin, who glanced at the surroundings.
"Let’s get out here," she said.
The driver found a spot to park and stopped the car. Shen Xin opened the door and looked at Kei Yunqing, who sat still, gazing at her.
