After some thought, Li Yunqing decided to make the purchase.
First of all, these two life-sized figures had no special abilities, and secondly, their character designs were quite appealing. Although Li Yunqing had ordered a statue that hadn’t arrived yet, he figured he could experiment with these two figures first and then compare the results.
Despite the fact that the Mouse Charm was originally designed to only imbue life and abilities to human or divine statues, Li Yunqing believed he could enhance its effects, though the final outcome remained uncertain. Of course, experiments were necessary; if the Mouse Charm could still only grant life to statues, who would want these life-sized figures? What if the details weren’t up to par?
With that in mind, Li Yunqing approached the Seller, who was dozing off nearby.
“Hey, buddy, how much for these two figures?”
“Huh? Oh, these two? They’re fifteen thousand each, or twenty-seven thousand for both.”
The Seller was a handsome young man, though he had noticeable dark circles under his eyes.
“Is that so? Not too expensive.”
Li Yunqing glanced at the Xiao Zhou Sisters.
“Not too expensive? Of course not! They’re made from a special type of gel from America. They feel more elastic and have a shelf life comparable to silicone—at least ten years. However, this special gel can’t be mass-produced. I got these two figures through special channels; they’re the only ones made with this gel. The ones over there are my own work and clearly don’t match up to the Xiao Zhou Sisters.”
“Don’t believe me? Go ahead and feel for yourself.”
The Handsome Guy led Li Yunqing over to the Xiao Zhou Sisters and gestured for him to touch them.
Li Yunqing reached out and felt the skin-like texture; it was indeed elastic and soft when he pinched their cheeks.
“So soft—could it be?”
“Brother, it’s obvious you don’t often touch these kinds of things. There’s no detail lacking; I used special gel for this. You can feel all the skin details.”
Indeed, Li Yunqing could even sense a slight friction; they were too smooth otherwise.
“Alright, I’ll take these two. If I buy them, will I take them myself or will you deliver them?”
“I’ll deliver them. These two figures are my carefully crafted work; if something happens during transport and they get damaged, it would be a waste!”
“Okay, my address is Number Five, Flip Street.”
“Got it! Once I finish packaging them up, I’ll have someone deliver them to you.”
Li Yunqing nodded and then returned to the side of the three girls.
"Yun Qing Brother, you really bought it?" Gu Qingqing asked curiously.
"Yeah, I bought it," Li Yunqing replied with a smile.
"Isn't that life-sized figure a bit expensive? You bought it so quickly?" Gu Qingqing still found it hard to believe.
"Expensive? Not really. The two of them only cost over twenty thousand," Li Yunqing said while stroking his chin.
"Alright, if you say it's not expensive, then it's not," she conceded. "But can I come over to your house to play with your figure?"
Gu Qingqing's eyes sparkled as she looked at Li Yunqing.
"Play with the figure? The two of them? Sure, but only today. Tomorrow I’ll have to give away the Xiao Zhou Sisters figure."
"Huh? Who are you giving it to?"
"A friend. He gave me the Xiao Zhou Sisters game, so I'm sure he'll love it."
"Then let's go to Yun Qing Brother's house today!" Both Li Yunqing and Gu Qingqing chimed in.
Wan Hong and Shen Xin, who had been listening intently, couldn't help but interject when they heard Gu Qingqing was going to Li Yunqing's house.
"Um, can Wan Hong go with Gu Qingqing?"
"I also want to see Li Yunqing's brother's place," Shen Xin added with a smile that had a hint of pressure behind it.
Li Yunqing was momentarily taken aback. "Why do you want to come to my house? I still have experiments to do. Just having Gu Qingqing is already a hassle; do I need two more?"
Although he wanted to refuse, he glanced at Wan Hong, whose shy yet determined gaze, and Shen Xin, whose warm smile carried a hint of intimidation, made him relent.
Li Yunqing could only brace himself and agree.
