"Alright." Following the command, Fei Bao immediately spread his wings and took flight, arriving at the center of the underground lake. After circling a few times in the air, he landed steadily above the surface of the water, gazing down at the beautiful and peculiar Mist Blossoms. They swayed gently in the water, emitting a faint glow, like guardians of the forest lying in slumber, waiting to be awakened.
Fei Bao carefully unfurled his wings and gently shook each Mist Blossom, causing a cloud of pollen to drift into the lake like stardust. The water soon began to undergo strange changes; the originally clear and transparent lake gradually turned a deep, mysterious blue, radiating an enchanting glow. The light spread from the center of the lake, piercing through the mist above and illuminating the entire underground lake space.
"Alright, everyone follow Xiao Zhuzi and Xi Xi and retreat to the safe evacuation point marked by Fei Bao!" Mouse Rabbit Father clapped his hands, directing everyone to hurry away. "The task of digging through the last section of the waterway and pulling the lever will be left to me and Fei Bao."
Upon hearing Mouse Rabbit Father's words, everyone sprang into action. The safe evacuation point was located high up at the back of the underground lake. After careful observation and comparison by Fei Bao, this spot was deemed ideal. There stood a tall Stalactite that could accommodate everyone; moreover, in case of any unforeseen events, they could quickly hide behind it for safety.
Once everyone was positioned at the safe evacuation point, Mouse Rabbit Father finally completed the excavation of the last section of the waterway. Little Dragonfly Flying Leopard tightly gripped the Grass Rope while Mouse Rabbit Father held onto its end firmly from behind.
"Is everyone ready?" Mouse Rabbit Father shouted.
"Ready!" came a unified response from behind.
Fei Bao nodded at Mouse Rabbit Father, and together they pulled on the Grass Rope with all their might! A wooden plank of the Flap Dam flipped open with a loud sound, and a tremendous force surged through the opening as water gushed forth, instantly breaking open the entire Flap Dam!
Fei Bao and Mouse Rabbit Father quickly retreated to the safe observation point while torrents of water began to rush into the dug-out passageway, creating a glowing stream that illuminated the path to the stone wall like a galaxy. As the water level continued to rise, it became increasingly turbulent, generating a powerful force.
Under this force, a massive column of water surged toward a weak spot in the stone wall with a loud "bang." The wall quickly began to crack under continuous impact from the flow, with more cracks forming until they resembled a Spider Web.
Finally, with a thunderous roar, the stone wall collapsed completely! A deluge of lake water cascaded down from above, forming a spectacular underground waterfall that surged into Scorpion Tomb!
Although Scorpion King was fierce and deadly with incredible venom, this creature moved slowly. Faced with such overwhelming water flow, he was utterly helpless and could only struggle wildly in water infused with Mist Blossom pollen. Soon enough, wisps of white smoke began to rise from Scorpion King's body as his chilling screams echoed through the air.
The Scorpion Subjects were stunned by this sudden flood; they panicked and scattered in all directions. Some Scorpions rushed toward Scorpion King in an attempt to protect him with their bodies. However, due to Scorpion Tomb's low terrain combined with the ferocity of the flood, there was nowhere for them to escape. In an instant, their sharp cries and howls filled the entire palace as acrid smoke wafted around them; Xiao Zhuzi and others watched in horror.
As more lake water poured in, the "death symphony" of Scorpions gradually subsided. The entire Scorpion Tomb was submerged beneath deep blue waters, forming a new lake. Meanwhile, the magical pollen from Mist Blossoms floated slowly in this new body of water, bringing life to it.
The three members of Ground Sky Squad along with Mouse Rabbit Family finally emerged from Ground Fissure onto solid ground. As water flowed onward, Mist Blossom's power began to spread through Underground Water systems and plant networks throughout Mistwood Forest. The dense fog that once filled the air gradually dissipated. Sunlight finally penetrated unobstructed through tree canopies, illuminating every branch and leaf; it was as if the entire forest had regained its vitality overnight.
The vibrant Mistwood Forest felt both strange and delightful; Xiao Zhuzi excitedly held onto Fei Bao and Xi Xi's hands tightly. The Little Mouse Rabbits saw green forests for the first time and felt warm sunlight on their skin for the first time; they joyfully ran about shouting. Mouse Rabbit Father gently wiped away tears from Mother Mouse Rabbit's eyes as their family embraced tightly in their newfound life.
Mistwood Forest was no longer a forbidden land for passersby; it would soon welcome new residents who would thrive in this beautiful forest. And they—witnesses to this miracle—would never forget this experience.
