Recently, there hasn't been much going on at the ranch. With your father helping you out, why not take a few days to relax? 0

Xu Li tossed him a cigarette. The young man smacked his lips and said, "I initially thought that with five hundred thousand, I could buy Bella a decent car, get her a computer and a phone, and maybe add some appliances to our new home. We calculated for quite a while and realized that this amount of money really doesn't go far." 0

"I took her to see an opera movie and we had some fun eating and drinking for a few days. Since I couldn't afford the car, I ended up buying both of us Huawei phones and a good computer because she enjoys gaming." 0

"Bella liked the red Seagull model, but I thought it was too small. So I decided to buy a larger car that was launched at the end of last year, with a big red wrap on it. When we have more kids, we can take them out for fun too." 0

"You really are thinking ahead," Xu Li chuckled. 0

"You're saying Bella's getting the car, but you're not the one driving it. Why not save up a bit more and buy another one later?" 0

"That won't work, Uncle," Kozilov shook his head. "Don't think just because I'm young that I'm careless with money. I want Bella to have several kids. Even though there are government subsidies, I can't just ignore them as they grow up. Just like my parents did; they helped my brother and sister when they got married." 0

"I need to save more money for when the kids grow up, so a mid-range car is just right—practical without losing face. And those appliances? The ones I like aren't cheap, and the cheaper ones just don't feel right; it's quite frustrating." 0

Watching Kozilov talk animatedly from the sofa, Xu Li smiled in satisfaction. If only Zhukov and the others had Kozilov's mindset—then Andreev and Valery wouldn't be so stressed out. 0

He tapped his thick fingers on the table thoughtfully for a moment before speaking again. "Last year when your Old Five got married, your dad nearly emptied his savings to support you. I imagine he doesn't have much left now to help you out. Once you finish building your house in June, I'll go with you to get those appliances." 0

"I'll lend you whatever you need upfront; we'll deduct it from your dividends each year. If you perform well, I won't take any money from you. While you're still young, make sure to go out and enjoy life during the off-season. In a couple of years when you have kids, it won’t be as easy to have fun like this." 0

"Thank you so much, Uncle!" The young man left happily. 0

As Xu Li was about to shift his focus back to work, seven or eight round heads peeked through the door frame. Zhukov and the others were grinning at him mischievously. 0

Zhukov pouted playfully, "Uncle, you're really biased!" 0

Larryf and the others quickly chimed in, "Yes! So biased!" 0

"So I'm biased, huh?" Xu Li smiled as he reached into his desk drawer and pulled out a rather inappropriate pink riding crop. Standing up, he walked toward the door. "Come on, let's talk about this bias topic." 0

The young men were so startled that they bolted away. Xu Li stood at the doorway with the riding crop in hand, yelling after their retreating figures: "You bunch of lazy bums! Do any of you even have girlfriends or partners? Instead of working hard, you're just wandering around all day! Do you believe I..." 0
