A small drone buzzed in the air, maneuvering skillfully under Xu Li's control. Eva flipped through the user manual, switching the shooting mode as instructed. "Misha, you should have bought this kind of drone earlier. With thermal imaging, Alexei and the others can patrol the cabin at night." 0

The drone landed neatly at Xu Li's feet. Just as he bent down to pick it up, Kozilov entered the yard, leading Bella by the hand. Startled, Xu Li quickly turned and ran into the house; Kozilov was much sneakier than Zhukov and Larryf. 0

With a grin, he approached Eva, his big eyes sparkling as he raised an eyebrow. "Hey, Aunt." 0

"What is it?" Eva replied, looking at the young man with annoyance before glancing at the slightly embarrassed Bella beside him. "Does Alexei know you two are together?" 0

"Uh, not yet." Kozilov scratched his nose. "I was hoping you could help me talk to Uncle about Bella." 0

He leaned in closer. "What’s this, Aunt? Is it fun? Can I borrow Bella for a couple of days?" 0

"Get lost, Little Rabbit." 0

Xu Li tucked the drone away and snatched the user manual from Eva's hands, stuffing it into his pocket. "Alexei is off in two days. You should bring him some gifts when you see him. Bella is his sister; he won’t beat you up in front of her." 0

As he spoke, he pushed Bella into the house and impatiently shooed Kozilov away. "Go on now; keep an eye on the ranch. Bella is staying for lunch; there’s no food for you." 0

"Come on, Uncle! I just helped you with that reindeer this morning! Save me a bite?" 0

Seeing that the village chief was ignoring him, Kozilov hurriedly added, "I can leave, but first tell me—did you buy a drone?" 0

Xu Li paused his actions and stared at the grinning young man, his lips twitching slightly. "Nope, I’m not interested in that thing. Now go on." 0

"Alright then." Kozilov pouted as he left the Village Chief's House. After confirming that Xu Li had gone back inside, he quietly returned and peeked through the living room window. There it was—a small drone sitting on the coffee table, alongside an opened box and a controller. 0

His eyes lit up with excitement as he dashed off to the ranch. It seemed that the village chief had grown wary of him; he had only seen drones in short videos before, and such an expensive gadget was too tempting not to play with! 0

He rushed into the Cattle Shed and pulled Zhukov away from checking cow hooves. Grabbing a walkie-talkie from his waistband, he called out to several busy friends in the Cattle Shed. 0

With seven or eight companions following his lead, they charged toward the Village Chief's House. Larryf excitedly scooped up a handful of snow to rub his hands together. "Does Village Chief's House really have a drone?" 0

"Why would I lie? When I was looking for the chief with Bella earlier, that old man ran into the house behind my back! Aunt Eva even had the user manual in her hands! If there wasn’t one, why would he sneak away from me?" 0

In the eyes of the village chief, they were nothing more than locusts; he refused to reveal any good things to them, as if they were something precious. That old man was truly stingy! Xu Li, not even forty yet, had already become a figure of old age in the eyes of these youngsters! 0
