Li Na, petite and slender, struggled a bit as she held the microphone. Xu Li shook hands with them and said, "Let's go to my place to rest first. We can discuss the interview later."
"Alright."
The three of them got into his Menzhishandai. The photographer touched the seats and exclaimed, "I didn't expect your taste to be just like mine."
Xu Li laughed as he drove, "What can I say? I'm a bit big, so I can't get used to regular cars."
They chatted and laughed, quickly returning to his home. During the summer vacation, the two housekeepers were off, so only Zhuo Ya and Irina were in the kitchen preparing food. Xu Li placed the keys on the shoe cabinet by the door and said, "Make yourselves at home; feel free to sit."
"Okay."
Li Na took off her shoes and stretched her toes before slipping on some disposable slippers. As she stepped into the living room, she was taken aback by a girl who walked towards her. The girl was taller than Da Qiang, slender and dressed in a tank top and shorts, with long legs that seemed to reach higher than her waist.
Her golden hair was tied back in a ponytail, and her face was quite defined, featuring bright black eyes. The girl appeared somewhat aloof; she nodded at Li Na before grabbing a bottle of fruit wine and heading elsewhere.
Xu Li chuckled, "That's my daughter Zhuo Ya. She doesn't really like talking to people; don't take it personally."
"No worries."
The photographer and his companion shook their heads vigorously. In one corner of the living room stood a long table adorned with an array of uniquely shaped weapons, with boxes of ammunition stacked together in various models.
If anyone dared to express their discomfort, this giant in front of them might just shove a gun where it shouldn't go.
Li Na accepted the teacup Xu Li handed her and took small sips while her large eyes scanned the spacious living room, which featured a typical European style. Xu Li offered cigarettes to the photographer and his companion Da Zha Ge before lighting one for himself and taking slow drags. "Why did you suddenly decide to interview me?"
"Brother Xu, you're super popular back home!"
The photographer grinned widely, revealing a hint of mischief: "A few years ago, everyone was talking about your father-in-law; now no one mentions him anymore—it's all about you! They even want you to make your debut here."
Xu Li nodded as he grasped what was happening. He chuckled lightly, "Is there some public opinion back home saying I have great songs but only want to sing abroad? Did Da Mao get first place because of that?"
A few awkward laughs followed. Xu Li waved his hand dismissively: "People are like that; what does it matter what they say? I'm living well here; can they come bother me?"
Li Na pondered for a moment before asking, "Brother Xu, do you have plans to release an album? That song 'Wahalar's Call' is still being listened to by many people."
Xu Li thought for a moment: "I won't be releasing anything for now. In a couple of years when my youngest grows up a bit more, I'll write songs for them instead. Right now, I need to stabilize my eldest and second child first; if they're lifted too high too quickly and fall down, they might not be able to get back up again."
Li Na's eyes lit up as she pointed at the camera resting by the sofa: "Brother Xu, can we film part of it first?"
"Sure!"
The photographer and Da Zha Ge immediately got busy while Li Na went to touch up her makeup in the bathroom. Afterward, she initiated some opening remarks and revisited their earlier conversation. Xu Li spoke freely without paying attention to Li Na's subtle cues.
After chatting for about ten minutes, Li Na asked, "What do you think of our domestic singing industry?"
"What do I think? I look at it through my nostrils."
