In a warm little room, a fluffy Siberian Kitten was sniffling and croaking. Xu Li lifted it by the scruff of its neck and brought it closer, scratching its round belly. "Still not better?" 0

"Not that quick," came the reply. 0

The Veterinarian chuckled beside him. "This little guy is inherently weak; it's already a miracle he’s alive. I estimate he’ll need another two or three days to recover. Just be careful when you take him home; don’t let him catch another cold." 0

"Then I'll leave him here for now. I have to go to Irkutsk tomorrow for a parent-teacher meeting." 0

The Veterinarian took the cigarette Xu Li offered and lit it. "I'll take him back to the Boiler Room tonight. When you return, you can just pick him up from my place." 0

"Alright, I’m off then." 0

Xu Li clapped his hands and exited the office. He made a round of the Cattle Shed, checking on things, before collecting the freshly slaughtered cattle and sheep. He headed home to pack up, also preparing the meat for his uncles to deliver tomorrow. 0

Meanwhile, in a fast-food restaurant in Irkutsk, Peter and Lisa were enjoying fries and soda when Uncle Andong approached with a tray of food and plopped down next to Peter. "Finally, a decent meal!" 0

Lisa shot him a glare. "Did Mom and Dad make you starve?" 0

"I was just expressing my gratitude! And thanks for treating me to burgers, Peter. You're truly my good brother." 0

Uncle Andong wrapped an arm around Peter's shoulder and shook him playfully. Peter turned with a grin. "If you really want to thank me, can I crash at your place tomorrow?" 0

"I have no objections as long as Lisa agrees." 0

Uncle Andong took a big bite of his burger, squinting in satisfaction. "Nothing beats eating meat!" 0

Lisa pouted, ignoring this silly guy. Who reveals personal family matters like that? It only makes others look down on them. 0

After finishing his meal, Peter left the mall and bought some pretty hair clips and headbands, along with some toys and rubber bands featuring Xiao Zhi. He thought for a moment before heading to a flower shop at the mall entrance, purchasing a bouquet of fresh flowers. With everything secured behind him, he returned to Lisa's side. 0

As soon as Lisa turned to look at him, he presented her with the flowers. "Here you go, Lisa! You look much prettier than these flowers." 0

"Thank you!" 0

The little girl blushed at Peter's compliment while Uncle Andong scratched his head in confusion, breaking the rare pleasant atmosphere. "Peter, if your eyesight is bad, just tell me—how can someone like Lisa be considered pretty? You don’t know; she digs her nose and scratches her feet—it's disgusting!" 0

"Uh..." 0

Seeing Lisa’s expression about to turn teary, Peter immediately sat beside her with a grin. "It sounds like you're not any better! Your family must not brush their teeth properly; I've seen your cavities! Unlike Lisa—she smells nice and has white, beautiful teeth." 0

"Pfft!" 0

Uncle Andong rolled his eyes at Peter's low emotional intelligence while Lisa shyly lowered her head at the compliment. The atmosphere suddenly became awkward as Peter shot Uncle Andong an annoyed glance before slipping a thousand Ruble note from under the table toward him. 0

The boy quickly dashed into the mall with the money he had just received. Peter opened his small bag and picked out a rubber band marked with Xiao Zhi. "Lisa, your hair is a bit messy. Let me tie it up for you. My mom has me tie her hair every day," he said, taking action without waiting for her response. 0

He carefully gathered the little girl's slightly disheveled hair and gently tied it into a loose ponytail, then placed a headband on her. While she was distracted, he leaned in and kissed her blushing cheek. "Lisa, you look really beautiful." 0

"What are you doing?" 0

The little girl raised her hand to hit Peter, but he caught her small hand and held it tightly. "Lisa, I've liked you for a long time. Will you be my girlfriend?" 0

"Okay." 0
