Xu Li put down his pen and stretched his neck, while Anna and Eva began to wander among the bookshelves. After a while, they shook their heads at him, indicating that there was nothing at home.
He lit a cigarette and scratched his chin, opening his notebook to search. Most of it contained only fragments, like names and such, so he decided it wasn't worth the effort to dig through them. Instead, he began writing lyrics directly in English.
"Valhalla summoning?"
Eva frowned and muttered, "Why not call it Heaven's summoning?"
Xu Li pulled her into his embrace and smiled, "Because this song is based on Viking mythology. What’s wrong with changing the name of the god?"
Anna looked at the lyrics, and vivid images filled her mind. She asked curiously, "Misha, you once asked me and Eva if we dreamed after eating that fruit. Were you dreaming?"
He nodded simply, "I told you before that I traveled to another Blue Star in my dreams. I stayed there for a long time and saw many wondrous things that we don’t have here. I also heard countless beautiful melodies."
He pulled Anna closer, and the three of them nestled together quietly. "We can live our whole lives here on this land as long as we’re together; that's what makes it home. But what about the kids?"
"The eldest and second want to be stars," he continued. "As their father, I can only support them technically. I have plenty of songs in my mind; they’ll be enough for them to shine for a lifetime."
As for Lao San, he probably would stay close to us, finding a decent husband to live a simple life. Lao Si and Old Five went to Huaxia; the splendor there will surely dazzle their eyes, and they’ll likely settle down there.
That little rascal will never settle down either. He registered a video account with Anan's help, claiming he wants to become a travel blogger. Do you think he’ll return to live this ordinary life in the countryside after getting used to the wild?
Sighing with a wry smile, he added, "As a father, I need to leave something for my children. Our ranch makes money every year, but it’s ultimately limited. We have one child; relying solely on the ranch isn’t enough. When we have free time, we can write songs and release them; that’ll bring in money much faster than raising cattle."
Eva lifted her head to look at her husband and suddenly kissed him passionately on the lips. "Then I’ll sign up online to learn singing techniques! I’m smart; I’ll learn quickly! Then we can sing together and make money for our kids."
"And also..." she pulled out her phone and opened a short video app filled with various casual outfit videos. She looked at her husband eagerly, "I want to buy those clothes too, but I don’t have any money."
Xu Li grinned widely, "How could you not have money? The day after tomorrow we’re going to Irkutsk; I’ll help you both get a card linked to my account so you can buy whatever you want."
"Misha, you’re amazing!"
Eva happily planted a warm kiss on him while Anna remained silent, quietly leaning against her husband as she imagined the happy scene of grandchildren surrounding them in the future.
