Xu Li quickly stuffed food into his mouth, and when he choked, he washed it down with a glass of milk. After eating for a while, he slowed down and noticed Vasily staring at him intently. Feeling a bit embarrassed, he scratched his head and asked, "Brother Three, when did you come back?" 0

"What did you call me?" 0

"Brother Three," he replied. 0

He looked at Andrei in confusion. "Dad, did I say it wrong?" 0

"No, you just haven't gotten used to it yet. Keep eating." 0

Andrei brought Vasily to the yard and briefly recounted the events from a few nights ago. Vasily smacked his lips and said, "I was wondering why this kid changed his tune so quickly. Should we thank his biological father for pushing this Little Guy into our family?" 0

"Heh, I believe this is fate's arrangement." 0

After saying that in a somewhat mystical tone, Xu Li, having eaten his fill, strolled into the yard with a cigarette in his mouth. "Dad, Auntie, and Anna went to the ranch?" 0

"Anna and Eva are playing games in Boyka's room." 0

Andrei beckoned Xu Li over and squeezed his arms and shoulders. "Are you feeling okay anywhere?" 0

"I'm great! I feel like I have endless energy." 0

Xu Li curled his arms into a muscular pose; his stick-like arms had muscles that were still not as thick as cucumbers, which made Vasily chuckle beside him. 0

Xu Li wanted to tease Vasily but wisely chose to stay silent after comparing their body types. He lit cigarettes for both of them before heading back inside to grab some local specialties and bullet boxes to practice shooting by the river. 0

"Dad." 0

"What’s up?" 0

Xu Li looked at Vasily in confusion, but Vasily nodded towards Xu Li's back. "Don’t you think Misha has grown taller?" 0

"Not that quickly." 0

Andrei waved his hand dismissively. "Forget about him for now. Summer vacation is almost half over; why don’t you bring Xie Liaosha back to stay for a few days?" 0

"Sophia enrolled him in an English training class. He's too busy studying to come back." 0

Vasily shook his head and blew out a smoke ring. "My brother-in-law says that learning English should start from a young age so he can study abroad later and find a good job for Xie Liaosha. I think he's right; with a good job and my support, he’ll be set for life." 0

Andrei never pried into the future of the kids' kids; he firmly believed that grandchildren would have their own fortunes. Vasily scratched his chin thoughtfully. "Dad, my sisters are still young. They’re always together; what if they have kids? It’s too early to have children; it can harm their health." 0

"It’s not too early; your grandmother had your uncle when she was younger than them. Our Slavic women aren’t that fragile." 0

Andrei extinguished his cigarette butt. "Are we heading back?" 0

Vasily nodded, packed his things, and waved goodbye to Andrei as he left the courtyard. He climbed into the modified Lada Niva parked by the dirt road. With a press of the accelerator, the engine roared to life, and the vehicle sped through the dilapidated village, quickly disappearing into the trees. 0
